Thanks for the reply and suggestion, I've already tried toggling the VOD player between internal and external but it makes no diffrence when external is selected, it defaults to tthe original one I chose in error, when I first opted for external VOD player a pop up came up asking me to choose one, as I've said I selected the wrong one, but then I clicked use this "Always" in the pop up not the other option of "Just Once" if I'd selected "Just Once" I'd be ok.
It seems like the myonlinetv2 app has now stored this as a "Default" external VOD player and no matter what I do I cannot seem to change this, I really don't want to do a factory reset.

No i did not, therefore i wrote in my post the how to. If i test other player this is the way how i can deactivate extern player and go back to standard vod player.
What could you help is in MOL Menu -> Settings -> to deactivate "External VOD player" and execute "User Preferences" (Reset to Default Settings). After that close mol and start again (better reboot the box once).

Turned off External VOD player, reset user preferences to defaults, then rebooted box, back into activate external VOD player, play video and it goes straight onto the original one I selected in error, looks like a full factory reset is my only option 🙄
Before you do factory reset, go to Home Menu -> Settings -> Apps -> Mytvonline2 -> and execute "clear data" + "clear cache".
Next step would be MOL2 reinstall, last factory reset.
