    Both. If box is powered off (call it deep standby and not normal standby), your TV will not go on if you start the box. If box was in standby and you activated " Turn on with TV" in the settings, the TV will go on if you start Z8 or vice versa.

    Scenario: You have in category 1 (10 favorites) and category 2 (20 favorites).

    If you press now red button in classic channel list, choose and press "Only Favorites" once again (symbol full) you will see in category 1 and 2 only your Favorites, other category`s would be empty because there are no favorite channels.. To go back, start Classic list, press again on "Only Favorites" (symbol half full) in your category`s are now shown all available channels.

    Hello everyone, I just did the last update on my Z8 and since then there has been a lot of blocking. Before the update everything was working fine. Did you encounter the same problem? is there an adjustment to be made? this problem is only on the Z8 because on the Z8 Pro everything is OK.

    Please do factory reset if issues occur after such big and major update. Software cannot be rolled back after installation (is always shown in update thread and update process).

    After my Update, I have a Problem with my "Pairing process" Wirless controller PS4.

    The Pairing process don't work anymore but the device recognize my Controller.


    Advice: Formuler Z8 Pro

    After trying to apply the latest update my Z8 is no longer functional. I have tried a factory reset (both methods with using the red button and pressing 1 and also with the factory reset tool and nothing has worked. I turn it on, i get the Z8 splash screen then the light on the front alternates from green to red for a couple minutes then stays green but I don't get a picture at all. It just shows a black screen. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do, or is my box a paperweight now?

    my problem not able to playback history VOD's is solved, I did not reboot at all but it is not happening anymore after setting it on standby and retry the next day. I dont think its a bug as it only happened to me but wanted to report it here in case anyone had the same issue directly after the update.

    also I think I am using stalker but not sure, I make a connection to a provider (they call it portal), im not knowledgable about how they connection types are called :)

    You have to be in the Classic Channel List menu for it to work.

    Please perform the following and tell what you see on your TV Screen and on the Front of the Z8 device:

    1. Unplug the power from your Formuler device for 1 minute
    2. Plug in the power to your Formuler device and observe the TV screen and the front status LED on the Formuler device.

    hello, concerning the CEC function, wake up the box by turning on the TV and wake up the TV by turning on the box, does not work, but turning off the TV with turning off the box works. Tv lg.

    Make sure that it's working fine with another device.

    You paired it but didn't work? or you even could not pair it?

    What I find weird is that on my 1st Z8 I did a factory reset, then I put the configuration back with the enc2 file and for the moment it seems that it is ok. I did the same on my 2nd Z8 and it is still robotizing.


    it's really weird because before the update everything was ok. Hopefully another update can fix this kind of problem.

    Hi Sam, Audio Optimizer was already installed, but executing it (several times) again has not resolved the issue. at 50% of the times the sound is not being transferred to my receiver at start-up of the Z8 after this update. Before never had this problem.

    So far, no problems really to report with the new update, except sometimes (not sure when or what I've done) I get double entries of the same show, same time in the EPG.

    Is there a tutorial on this, or basically automatic once CEC is enabled on the TV? What if I'm programming the box to record a show while I'm asleep? Will the TV wake up too, or is there a way to disable this?

    Formuler Z8 not working after update this week (17th November 2020)

    • Model: . Formuler 8
    • Firmware version: not sure; only 2 months old;
      MYTVOnline 1 / MYTVOnline 2 version: not sure – cannot get z8 to work in order to find this information.
    • Box connected with: Ethernet
    • What issue(s) are you having? My demands have been simple. I have not been using the Z8 to its full potential, just watching selected TV. However, I powered up on Tuesday 17th November to see that updates were ready for me. I downloaded and installed as directed but sadly my Z8 doesn’t work any more. Turning the device on gives me a green LED and a blue screen.
    • Did you factory reset your device? and when?: yes - both the inbuilt method using the red key on the RMU and the USB version using update.ird reset tool have failed.

    When I use the USB method, I get a splash of Z8 and get hopeful. Then I become even more hopeful when I get coloured rings in the centre of the screen and a progress bar below it. The bar progresses cheerfully from left to right to suggest 100% completion and then sadly nothing. The TV screen becomes blue. The LED light on the Z8 is flashing red/green during the initial phase and then just green. I was very patient and waited over 30 minutes but nothing changed. I have tried this three times now with the same result.


    I would be grateful for any advice that would help.
