In the settings section there is an option on UI 720p OR UI 1080p
Witch one should I use and what is the actual difference?

The total number of pixels that make up a 720 p image is about 1 million (that's 1 megapixel in digital still cameras), and a 1080 p image has 2 million pixels. This means that 1080 p images can be displayed in much more detail than 720 p images.
and then Z8 pro works well without any problem with the 1080 p . so adjust the 1080 p

Recommend 720 UI resolution.
UI Resolution only affects the image quality of the menus and on-screen graphics, not the Video playback quality.
Using 1080 UI resolution will slow down your box but the menus might look a little bit sharper.

Yes.
If you feel the box is slow when it is set to 1080, change it back to 720.

I can't even enter this setting. It crashes every time I want to change display setting. Different TVs cec on and off. Nothing helps

well. after long consideration i finally did factory reset..but somehow it still didnT help.
when i try to go to picture settings it still crashes. any advice? -

Well. It seems it is a bigger problem i thought. I just bought a brand new z8 pro. First thing wanted to check if will be able to change the resolution settings and the same thing happens here. Settings crashes

guess , u have to contact to your reseller.

what does the reseller has to do with it? the first one i saw this happening i ordered from different reseller. today i receive a new one from someone else

Yesterday I received a brand new z8 pro. Right after first instalation I have tried to change the resolution and just like in my last z8 pro a window appeared "settings app stopped working". I thought it could be caused by setting up few buttons on remote for the same function when first time I saw this. But yesterday it happened to brand new z8 pro. I already gave it to its owner so can't make a video though

Factory reset and try again. Maybe one of the apps you installed is causing a conflict.
