I have a Kingston 256 Data Traveler Max USB 3.2 drive that I formatted in NTFS with Rufus using the recommended settings from the forum.
When I insert it in the Z11 Pro and Z11 Pro Max USB 3 port on the side of the device it's not being recognized. I have even tried inserting it first and turning the devices on and off, but it still won't recognize it.
When inserting the drive in the USB 2 port on the back of the device the drive is recognized, and I can use it for recording and Time Shifting.
If I insert the drive in the USB 2 port on the back of the device first, then unplug it and insert it in the USB 3 port on the side, the device will then recognize it. It is also recognized by Time Shifting, and I can record with the device.
Any idea what's going on? Is there any downside to doing this 2-step workaround?
