The picture stops or freezes, the screen slowly turns gray and fades, then goes to the main menu. That is occurring on different CC’s that we just bought. Not happening on our Z8’s or Z8 Pros.

This happens in VOD, not in live tv…It has not happened on a Firestick…And the app tech support has not seen it before…

Yes I can select the “ON” and allow modifications, but I cannot find a way to move forward… I do not see a Next or Continue or OK option…
So I go “Back” and I just get this spinner -

The app is My Bulldog Streams IPTV, screenshot attached. Having this pop up in VOD section, I have not tried live TV yet…

I installed a new IPTV app and it worked fine. But suddenly I get a dialog that looks like it might be from the MTOL2 or z8, not sure. I don’t think I can share a screenshot here, but this is what comes up with an on/off selector:
“Can modify system settings”
[App name]
“This permission allows an app to modify system settings”
Whether I turn that feature on or not there is no way to proceed from the dialog and I have to back out of the app.
I have not seen this with any other app. But it visually looks like a menu from the Z8.
Any feedback on this?

Are you referring to the IPTV app that is not locating the network? This is the only version I have installed, it is a first time use, not an update or upgrade. The same app works fine on a firestick…
I still do not under the sideload but I will research that.
Sorry if I’m being obtuse, just frustrated that I cannot enjoy this app on our favorite device!

I tried sending a log reporting the problem while in the Formuler settings while in the problem app and have the tracking # but not sure what that did…

I don’t have any recording problems, but it sounds like it is good practice to have a back up of your device on hand anyway, just as with any device?
One question, I just realized the EPG is actually correct, it is just 5 hours behind. Other than the time zone setting, is there anything else I would look at for that issue?

Use mytvonline2 to connect to the iptv service if possible.
Avoid using the app in question
I wouldn’t know how to do that? This new IPTV provider has an app similar to another that I recently installed and used successfully. You open the app to use the service…

Tried restarting after going through all the Settings. Tried connecting to Ethernet with WiFi off, no luck, tried to connect to my WiFi network as alternative, no luck.

I just downloaded and installed an app for another IPTV service I want to try. I am using an Ethernet connection for the Formuler z8 and that works great with my current IPTV service.
The new app is not finding the Ethernet connection. My WiFi networks show up as options, but I still get an internet error. Is there anything I need to look at in the Formuler settings to resolve this? I looked at “Permissions”, but nothing there helped…
The app did connect on another device (firestick), we want to use the Z8 for obvious reasons…

A follow up question from an earlier thread please -
Currently using Z8’s and will be purchasing new formulers soon - I was looking at the z8 Pro but after helpful feedback here I am looking at the z10 and GTV as well.
Specifically I see recording features that I do not have with the Z8’s like recording one station while watching another, scheduling recordings, scheduling series recordings, and the pause, rewind and PIP features.. These are huge features that I do not have now (except for scheduling recordings up to 20 hours ahead).
Are these actual upgraded features we would see with the z10 and GTV? Or is this functionality (or lack thereof) determined by my IPTV service server?

I went into Settings/Apps/MyTvOnline2 and selected “Clear cache”.
I went into Connections/my sub/Edit - I do not see a “UTC” to activate?
One note, I was using Playlists but some accounts were discontinued or are no longer supported so I was advised to use Portal urls. This issue with the incorrect EPG seems to be more of a problem with the portal. But it is only happening on this one z8…

I have been using the Z8’s for a couple years and have 3 in place right now. I am using the same connection or service url on all 3 devices, and am using the MYOL2 EPG on all 3. But the EPG on one z8 shows the incorrect programming while the other are correct. Is this something I can correct on the z8? Or does that point to something else?

Z8’s seem to perform well with our IPTV service, I will look at these recs to see if a change is worth it.
Are these worth a look for this basic streaming usage? Or can they provide better results?
