Does this beta update address the scheduled recording issue and if not, when can one expect it to be fixed?

I set my power mode to off (from standby) and the box did turn on and record what was set on the schedule and shut off. I won't know until Monday if it will continue to work. Very annoying if this is the fix because having to wait for the boot process every time gets old real quick.
Edit: Setting my power mode to off seems to have "fixed" it. I have CEC disabled and the box turned on and recorded the program and shut down on Monday. I got the notifications the recording started and stopped in the notifications section.
Edit #2 While the Z11 did record my show on Monday, it only recorded 37 minutes out of more than an hour.

Try the second USB port if you haven't already. I have always had mine power off since my Z8. Power off will still start a recording (when it works). I always did that because I didn't want my HDD or SSDs powered on 24/7. Good luck.
I've tried both USB ports as well as multiple USB sticks and also a Micro SD card without it fixing it. It won't even list any notifications that it recorded or any errors. If I have the box on and set it to record something manually in the next few hours via the EPG and record button, and keep the box powered on, it seems to record fine.

Not to high-jack your thread, but I formatted my USB stick to NTFS and it didn't fix it. I also read into the threads you had linked previously and seen SAM recommend shutting off CEC, so I did that and it also didn't fix it. The next thing I will be trying is to switch the power off mode to shut down (I've always had it set to stand-by since owning a Z8) Just thought I'd let you know you are not the only one this issue is happening to.
I'm pretty disappointed in the Z11 Pro Max and it's ability to have it schedule record. It shouldn't be a hit or miss, especially for the price it is.

You would be better off not highjacking the thread, but creating your own, and linking to this thread. Just FYI is all.
My intentions were not to high jack your thread, I was just stating I am also having recording issues. I will be making my own thread if this NTFS fix does not work.

I got the stick formatted to NTFS and deleted my recording schedule and made sure to redo all the settings correctly. I will report back if it works in about 6-7 hours.

Did you format your usb in ntfs?
I couldn't record until I did it
I used the format option via the Z11 options. Should I stick it in my PC and format via NTFS?

I'm also having a schedule recording issue on my Z11 Pro Max. I have tried different USB sticks as well as a micro SD card (making sure to change the settings appropriately in PVR settings for recording location) I have also confirmed the recording schedule is correctly setup.
I have my box to go to stand-by when powered off and I can see the box turn on at the appropriate recording time and shut down at the right end time, but when I go into the recordings section, it is empty. I have also confirmed no recording exists using a file browser.

Thank you but my Z8 will not seem to recognise my headphones at all.
I will however, try deleting them on my phone and then see if I can pair with the Z8.
I'll let you know if that succeeds 🙂
You don't have to delete them from your phone, just make sure your phones bluetooth is off when trying to connect them to the Z8.
-
If I connect my headphones to my phone then try to connect them to my Z8 after, I need to put the headphones into pairing mode then re pair them to the Z8 even tho they are already paired on the Z8.
-
I have to pair my headset every time as well. This happens when I have had the headset connected to another device like my phone.

The L1 rollout was temporally stopped until the bug is fixed. There is no way the server can update your Box to L1 now!
Thanks for clarifying

Nope. Changing to static IP didn’t trigger anything for me. To be frank, that would be curious to say the least. So my box is functioning as expected. I’m waiting patiently for the rollout to be resumed. As I’ve said before, I have about a googol of other ways to access content influenced by L1. So I can wait.
Weird, did you make sure to reboot after changing the box to Static IP? After I did this and it installed the DRM I went back to my IP settings
and it was automatically set back to DHCP. -
I don't think this is possible using MyTVOnline2 but I believe it is possible if you use a different app like STBEmu or something where you can manually set the MAC.
-
As I already sort of expected, DRM Info states Widevine Security Level L3. So no L1 for me as of yet.
I had this issue before with a couple Z8s and found another user say that if you change your IP from DHCP to static and reboot and wait a bit, the pop-up will display. Dunno why this worked but it did for me

-
Yes, in the section where you input the m3u list there is a section at the end where you put in the EPG address. This is usually the same address as the m3u itself with the part that says "get.php?username=xxxx" change that to "xmltv.php?username=xxxx"

Does anyone know how I could view the remaining battery level on my bluetooth headphones while connected to the Z8? When I have them connected to my phone, it will show the level when first connected, but when I connect them with the Z8 it doesn't show the level. Thanks.

I look after 4 z8s (2@friends&2@myhouse) and installed this latest update and the"DRM module installed, please reboot" message only appeared on 2 of my friends boxes, but never appeared on mine. I tried installing the DRM info from the market on my box and it says under "google widevine modular DRM" security level is still L3. The update installed fine, I just never got the DRM module installed pop up?
Edit: Found the fix, changing the IP settings from DHCP to Static and rebooting made the popup come up and installed fine, checked with DRM info and it is at L1 now
