I have setup a RaspberryPi4 as a NAS using "Open Media Vault" (OMV) 6.0.27-1 with 2 USB HDDs for backups and as a movie/shows storage location for the Z10 Pro Max. It works fine for recording and playing movies/shows using MyTVOnline2.

I can access, copy or delete (Read/Write) the files from my PC that I also setup to access the shared folders. I can also delete the recorded files using MyTVOnline2.

I cannot use VLC or a file browser such as "TV File Commander" to delete the same recorded files or delete any files on the CIFS share. I have checked the OMV settings and all seem to be OK and it does work through the MTVOL2 app.

"TV File Commander" error is: "Read Only Access"

VLC does not show the option to delete the file.

What setting do I need to change to get VLC app and the "TV File Commander" app to be able to delete the files on the CIFS share?

Update: It seems it was on the provider's side as is is working now with the Portal setting as it was before.

You can try login with xtream codes

Fil in at portal your portal connection.

And from the m3u you use username as username in the field and password as your password in the field password and then connect.

Example xtream codes

Host : http://your.provider.com:80
Username : abc123
Password : abc123

Please differentiate between not at all working server and only not working one protocol from 3 possible.

Did all that multiple times but always the same problem. M3U works but I would like the Portal Functions.

Same problem. It shows as connected but only VOD is listed and when I do a refresh or select VOD an error comes up "Failed to load VOD data" or "Refresh Fail".

I usually setup this provider by putting the M3U URL in then "Add M3U Playlist" button and the MYTVOnline2 app converts it to a "Portals" setting. But either directly or via M3U it still has the same error result.

Where can I get "xtream codes"? I have never need them before.

When I updated to MTOL2 .31 a perfectly working IPTV setup stopped working via the PORTAL setting. It does work by the M3U setting (I tried today) but I would like to keep the convenient functions of the PORTAL settings.

I have 2 IPTV providers and the other one is still working perfectly on the PORTAL settings.

I contacted the problem IPTV provider and they checked on their side and all is OK with my account, this is confirmed as I can connect with the M3U settings.

Can this be fixed?

Can I revert to the .30 version?

Are there other options to fix my problem?
