Does your BitWise system have an IR learning function?
I have to buy a hardware.
That's because it's only for their very very old enigma2 machines, not compatible with the Z android based series etc.
so for a very beginner person like me, you are suggesting I can't use BitWise BC4 and needs to move to something else. ![]()
Formuler F-Series IR codes are not compatible with Z10 products.
Thanks for responding, Any idea what can I use for an alternative?
My entire home solution works based on BitWise Controllers and I can't use the Z10 Pro max
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
Maybe you got a bad box. Check your warranty with your seller and exchange it for another new unit to see if it is the same.
If the new unit displays the same symptoms, I'm out of ideas.
You didn`t wrote anything about AFR and what 175n suggested, is it OFF or still ON? Turn OFF and test again, i think also that this could be reason for your issue.
Got an update for everyone.
After all the unsuccessful tests, I decided to FACTORY RESET the box.
Re-install updates and did the setup again.
some Magic happened which I have no idea what!!. Now everything works like a charm
No issue with the receiver or HDMI extender
and yes I did not change any settings on the box after resetting. everything is DEFAULT.
No Idea what was wrong with first time of installation.
Tested also with completely new HDMI cable? My Denon did something similar with some other device and cable change fixed it.
Do you have AFR turned on in the MOL2 settings? Turn off AFR if you have it turned on.
Here are my Sunday all-afternoon testing results and conclusion so far.....
NEW HDMI CABLES
I bought brand NEW 4K HDMI cables from Costco and replaced all cables. The cable from Formuler to Receiver, from Receiver OUT to HDMI extender IN and from HDMI extender to TV. All brand NEW cables and still got the same issue where the Formuler lost handshake with the receiver and takes 4-5 seconds to reconnect.
Dreamlink T3_Prime Box
I borrowed an IPTV box from my friend and connected it with the receiver with NEW cables and everything works like a charm no ISSUES with the receiver or HDMI extender.
OLD HDMI CABLES
I replaced all my HDMI cables back with the old ones and used Dreamlink T3_prime and still got the desired results with no problems.
FORMULER WITH NEW GENERATION TV
The TV I had in my house was a very old LCD model 2015 Samsung. When I was testing the box direct with the TV I wasn't noticing any issue. However, I took the Formuler to my friend's house and attached it to his brand new TV and we both noticed that the Formuler was losing the handshake but it was not noticeable as it reconnect in less than a second. We both noticed the TV screen goes blank for a split second and reconnect with Formuler it does not happen on every channel change but definitely it's happening quite often.
CONCLUSION
As a newbie
, my conclusion is that something is wrong with the box but I would wait for the expert's opinion.
Thanks, everyone for helping me.
I am thinking to replace the box but maybe lower series like Z8, if you have any advice otherwise please let me know. ![]()

I tested with a different cable but only from Formuler to AVI. I will be trying this weekend with all HDMI replacements, I have to go buy one.
Before turning HDR OFF, you could not get ANY signal from the Formuler through the AVR to the TV.
After turning HDR OFF, you can SOMETIMES get signal from the Formuler through the AVR to the TV.
Is this correct? If so it seems like the HDR setting has something to do with the issue but not entirely the root cause.
The last thing I can think of is perhaps the HDCP handshake is failing between the Formuler and AVR.
Try to temporarily disable HDCP on the Formuler from the Android Developer Options hidden menu and try again.
I did that and turned off the HDCP setting and no luck.
The AVR still loses connectivity with Formuler and reconnects whenever I change channels.

Try setting HDR Output mode to OFF in the Android display settings and try again.
The HDMI extender could be causing issues. Bring a small tv close to the Onkyo and connect the output from the AVR to the small tv using an HDMI cable to narrow down the issue.
Thanks for the tips. I changed the HDR setting to OFF in the Android display setting and did the below test to isolate the issue and it's tough to say where exactly the issue is.
TEST WITH STANDALONE TV AFTER HDR OFF
connected the Formuler to the receiver and then the receiver directly to the TV with a straight HDMI cable. The issue still exists but the occurrence is very low. What I mean is that when changing the channels the video remains shown on the TV but after 6-7 repeats it does the same thing and the receiver lost audio and video and reconnects with Formuler.
TEST WITH HDMI EXTENDER AFTER HDR OFF
connected the Formuler to the receiver and then the receiver with an HDMI extender. The occurrence is a little high. When changing the channels receiver lost audio and video and reconnects with Formuler after 2-3 repeats.
OBSERVATION
I noticed that the Audio connects 2-3 seconds before it displays the video in both tests.
Change the output resolution on the Formuler to 1080p and try to connect it to the Onkyo again to see if it outputs a picture.
Also try a different HDMI input port on the Onkyo and try a different HDMI cable.
Thanks for your reply,
I have changed the output to 1080p and it worked temporarily. However, when I change the INPUT and change back to the Formuler HDMI port, it behaves the same and does not switch back smoothly.
The only way I can make that stable is If I leave the INPUT to Formuler HDMI and turn off the receiver and turn it back on then its works fine.
My Formuler is connected directly to the Receiver. My output HDMI cable connected to the HDMI Extender Over Ethernet Single Cat5E/6/7 to the TV. I am not sure if that is causing an issue with the box.
I have changed different HDMI INPUT on the receiver and cables but the same behaviour all my other devices work fine with the same configuration.

Thanks
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and posting my first thread.
I bought the Z10 Pro max and trying to hook up with my Onkyo Tx-Nr696 receiver but the receiver is not recognizing the box. The HDMI key keeps flashing and is not solid to display a picture on the TV.
I connected the box to the TV directly and it works fine. I even connect to my projector working fine.
It's only my receiver not even sensing the box.
any help would be greatly appreciated
