Sorry but if backup can not be restored then is the file not ok, you have to create new backup. It is recommended with each version of update to create new backup, the old one can be arhived in some file subfolder. When the system works fine then it`s time for backup.
The issue is not in the backup.
The issue is now that the restore facility is not working, atleast for some of us.
The same backup worked before.
Also, craeting a new backup with the latest version works , but restore is not.
Restore stops at 20% , what a nightmare after clearing cache/data, need to redo all connections and favourites.

I happen to be a programmer and heavily involved with testers.
Of course regression bugs happen, but you would think certain things are at the top of the test cases 
Hopefully we would not need to wait till a major update & a hotfix planned soon.

It feels to me this is a pretty basic regression to happen in the firmware, for 4k HLG streams to stop working on a high end IPTV streaming box following an upgrade 
I’ve found this too on uhd channels, I turned off afr and it seems to fix it
The Live/VOD/Tv series auto frame rate is alread turned off from the Players Options settings but that has always been off for me.
Can you please calrify how you fixed this, where AFR option is that you are referring to?
The channels that have codec issue mentioned, do work on smarters, tivimate on other devices, so it is not issue with the streams.
Please add the Refresh button to to top menu rather than having to drill down - as was in previous versions
Alternative is to allow a remote control direct shortcut for the channel refresh
MediaCodecVideoDecoderExcetion started showing now.on UHD channels (not all) as per previous comment, please check a separate specific thread where this was reported , I added some more info there.
Checked further on laptilop using VLC for further codec details.
I checked 3 UHD streams. The problematic one (above) has the same properties as the other two streams (which are fine on the Z11 pro max ).
The only video codec property that is different:
Working streams -
Color transfer function: ITU-R BT.709
Codec exception shown on the stream withC olor transfer function: Hybrid Log-Gamma
Not sure if that is related, but it is the only difference that I found. I did set the HLG option from the menu but that did not fix it.

I have the same Codec exceprion error recently, pressing the Info button does not show much since the player seems to be struggling with it
I attach below info provided for the same UHD stream via MX player and VLC, both of which struggle with it too on the Z11 pro (but ok on mobile device)
