I tried both 4k24 DCI and 4k24 and the stutter still occurs after a few seconds of playback

i do get better results with playback with kodi (audio & video)
the plex app ist not the best out there!
same on Apple TV - Infuse plays plex content better than plex itself.
but first please look at the DM from Peter
Nobody asked about Kodi, thanks for your input but this wasn't the resolution I'm looking for

As an experiment please change the HDMI output refresh rate to match the FPS of the contents you are playing. (23.9/24fps = 24Hz, etc.)
After that, start playing the contents and share your results.
Are you referring to the display settings on the box? To change it from AUTO to 4K DCI 24hz?
-
It's an issue with the box, not the app I'm not switching to another app, I bought it! The file plays fine in VLC

try the KODI-Build with App "PM4K for PLEX"
and report back please
Sorry not sure I follow, are you suggesting I use Kodi instead?

There is no codec settings to be found on both client or server side, i think it's all automatic
-
There's no transcoding going on, ALL DIRECTPLAY
-
Guys is this really all the support you have to offer? THERES A GLITCH WHEN I WATCH AAC CODEC video files. Please help me figure it out, it's from the box because the files play great on every other client

Turn off transcoding in Plex
It's not during a transcode! It's Direct play and the sound works fine for 5 seconds but then turns into a lag
-
The lag is in direct play, not transcoding.

Hello,
Sorry for delay in response, I caught a fever. I'm using Plex and this is the only option for me. Most of my library is in ac3 which works fine, it doesn't pass through TRUHD Atmos which is ok but even the transcoded version of it (opus) has a lag. I'm sure its a setting on the box because everything works mint on my computer.

I'm having an issue where any videos I have with these 2 codec s start playing butter smooth but then after 5-7 seconds there seems to be a lag and then audio gets delayed automatically by few milliseconds.. pressing pause or jumping back/forward puts it back in sync but 5 seconds later and the frame skips again. Doesn't show up as a dropped frame.. not internet related... Happens in both 1080p and 4k MKVs. I've converted a few movies using ffmpeg to eac3 and they play perfectly with no sync... I'm using a formuler z10 pro max as a client and it supports eac3 and so does my Denon 6700h
