In your last reply you wrote: "Beware that your tv must support qms. If not, turn of AFR"

I didn't understand that this meant that afr can be used with or without qms.

But I do understand that this is a formuler forum, it's even named that way. The only reason I mentioned an other brand was that when something works on an other (older product) I guessed it would work on an Z12 wich is an outstanding product. And to illustrate that the lack of qms on the TV can't be the only reason why the afr doesn't work for me. I suppose it will work eventually, but I didn't figure out how, and that's why I asked for help. But thanks anyway

Beware that your tv must support qms. If not, turn of AFR.

than you don't have that black screen for 2 seconds.

The black screen for a short time is not the problem. And yes, my LG OLED TV doesn't support qms, and I understand that this is an issue. But as I said; the Shield switched flawlessly between 50hz an 24hz connected to the same TV depending on the content, but the Z12 ultra doesn't. Are you saying that unless the TV support qms AFR isn't possible at all? Anyway; I don't see how turning off AFR sholuld solve this problem? I tried regardless, disabled AFR both in the Android settings and in the MOL3 settings, but as I anticipated that doesn't solve anything.

    AFR:

I don't think AFR works very well in the Z12 Ultra, I would like to know what settings are recommended. In the Android system's "Device Settings" - "Display and Sound" - "Match content frame rate" I have selected "On".

Inside MOL3 I have selected Automatic Frame Rate (AFR) on TV, VOD and TV Series but I am not satisfied with the AFR result anymore, the picture becomes black for a second when switching from Live TV to VOD and it also takes longer when changing channels.

I run Formuler GTV before I bought the Z12Ultra and AFR works there without problems.

I've only had the Z12 for a couple of days, most things run smooth, but the AFR doesn't work as intended. I have the same settings as Yga, wich should indicate that match frame rate is on, both in the android settings and in the MOL3, but I have to change resolution settings manually. The Z12 doesn't change from 50hz to 23,967hz when content changes, or the other way around, resulting in stutter when content resolution changes. The TV should support it, because the Shield I used until 2 days ago did it flawlessly.
