got a reply back from provider and at this moment they do not support but are working on a module. So at this time i will mark solved. In regards to the other bugs mentioned i believe they have already been reported??

Does that make Buzz better? no, as all these iptv based boxed have features some like and some don't. Bugs etc

To be fair nobody is saying the buzz is better and i never mentioned it, point is the mytvonline app only supports MAG urls and if MAG urls do not support 'reminder' feature then why does such a feature exist in the app when it's basically redundant.

Certain servers don't support the remind feature.

Use of a Mag URL does not guarantee proper function of the remind feature.

This is not a bug in MYTVOnline.

Very odd though having a feature that seems nobody supports yet other boxes seem to be able to. I have just contacted provider to ask if there servers support it. Also where you say 'use of a MAG url does not guarantee proper function of the remind me feature?' how does one guarantee it then, sounds like a feature that does not work or ever will do anything, infact has anyone got it to work as it's seems a mystery.

Will update when i hear back.

I was able to reproduce the Manual Ethernet Settings bug.
It will be reported to R&D and patched later this spring.

Reminders are dependent on the provider.
If the reminders are working on MAG/Emu and not in MYTVOnline, please let us know.

    @175n
Ok i did a software reset and factory reset today and started fresh. The remind me does nothing as before. Both iptv providers use MAG url's, using mytvonline app obviously and pressing the green button does nothing, no remind me at all.

well least you found an app for use on another device

ok only other thing i can think of if location services is on is the following:

From home screen -> cog icon -> Android -> Apps -> locate the app in question and select it, then select permissions and ensure location permission is enabled to allow app to access location. If that doesn't work i am assuming the google play services is causing the issue, ie. app tries to use location but google play services is crashing causing app to be unable to use the location service. But try the app permission suggestion above, also maybe logging into a google account on the formuler may work sounds odd i know.

If this happens while you're using MYTVOnline, it is normal behavior.

The reason this happens is because the server has enabled an inactivity standby timer rule.
Some servers don't activate this feature, and some do.

To prevent the auto-shutdown while using MYTVOnline, press some buttons on the remote from time to time.

ok but even if this is server side, surely the developers of mytvonline app can develop the app to ignore being shut down, basically thats the same as saying the server can control you're box by shutting it down when a period of activity is not detected.

Now the mytvonline app being client side should be able to ignore it or something similar, not aware of such feature myself but find it alarming a server can just shut down the box if using mytvonline app because of inactivity standby timer rule, it's down to the developers to integrate this client side within the mytvonline app, infact a setting to shut box off after xx hours or just send a fake response every hour or something so server thinks it's had some activity, i don't know as never heard of such a server feature but seems very odd way to go about things.

An example my TV will bring a popup after after xx hours (set by me in settings) asking to press a button to keep tv on, What i mean is the mytvonline app should at least allow us to alter that behaviour like my TV for example and even maybe to show a popup/message to confirm to keep on or something like that. To allow the server to control this without any sort of verification from client (client side) just doesn't go well with me and think something needs passing over as a suggestion to developers.

Sorry should have mentioned i never tried the app on the formuler take a look at google play store i think there are others you could possibly try.

In regards to the white screen and the error, what did the error say? unfortunately it seems everyone is getting a high amount of crashes, freezes, app not responding, infact it's beyond a joke. the IPTVLauncher is a nightmare and crashes far to often and needs looking at with priority, i can't say anything more as it worked for me, maybe try logging into a google account on the formuler first then try location settings as allot of it is linked to google account and maybe you need to login first. Other than that a factory reset and software reset, although this is not a solution every time something happens which at the moment all people are told is to reset boxes and i for one will not being reseting and redoing entire box every time is plays up.

well unless there is an app installed that is turning it off after set period of time or for example if using Kodi there's options in there to turn off device, maybe a faulty box possibly overheating or something so shutting down to protect cpu and other components perhaps.

    another thing to try.

Check if the port on back of tv which you're media box is connected to says HDMI (ARC) i know depending how each manufacturer implement it some TV's for example can turn off other devices using ARC by listening for a signal coming from in this case you're box. ARC is also used with CEC, my samsung bluray remote operates tv and bluray through one remote thanks to ARC and CEC as an example.

Basically if you're media box is plugged into a HDMI ARC port on you're tv put it another HDMI port that does not support ARC, it should say near hdmi port HDMI (ARC) if the HDMI port supports ARC.

Check you're tv settings, energy settings, eco settings (every manufacturer uses different names) and any setting related to HDMI ARC, on Samsung TVs for example they call it Anynet+, it's meant for audio ie. connect a soundbar to HDMI ARC port but it's used for other purposes to.

    This article may explain better:
    https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/h…ned-works-care/
    https://www.tomsguide.com/us/hdmi-arc-faq,news-26262.html

Other than the above i literally cannot think of anything else as i am not aware of any setting so box turns off after xx hours.

    hmm,

To my knowledge and i've just had a look to i cannot see a setting for box to enter standby mode after xx hours. To my knowledge it should stay on until you press and hold down power button from home screen and choose 1 of the 3 options (standby, restart, power off) or it could be if using something like Kodi turning device off as some apps like Kodi has such options.

There is a setting. From home screen.

select cog icon (settings icons) -> System -> look for Power Mode, but i believe this setting just means what do you want to happen when you quickly press the power button, if you hold down power button from home screen you get 3 options.

    Hi,

    From home screen.

    1) Select cog icon (settings icon)
    2) Select Android
    3) Now if you logged into Google (use fake account if u like) scroll down til you see Google and select it
    4) Now scroll down til you see Location.

Can't remember if i had to login to see the Google menu above, however another way

    1) Select cog icon (settings icon)
    2) Select Android
    3) Top right hand corner select the magnifying glass (search), type in Location and it should come up.

Try second method first as you should not have to login to a google account to enable location services i'm sure of it.

Second method can be used for android settings that have been removed from the settings menu, anytime you cannot find something use the search feature as described

Also i keep mine off or use a app like fake gps from google play store so you can fake you're gps coordinates :face_with_tongue:

    Hi,

I’m currently using my Mac with one provider and want to take another sub from another provider but he replied that
“I can't add your Mac when in use with another provider”
Any idea what I can do guys.
Another question if someone got hold of my Mac then can he just use my subs with stb-emu?
I can get band by my provider.

in that case is there a way to change my Mac in z7+

Ok i want to point something out as maybe some confusion.

The only time he would not be able to add your MAC address is if both your existing provider and new provider for example are resellers of the same IPTV service provider, meaning regardless of reseller backend it's the same iptv provider just different resellers and if first provider already has you're MAC address and try to add it again it's won't be possible because it already exists backend in the databse. Hard to explain. There's many resellers selling for the same iptv provider hence why they cannot add your MAC if it already exists from another reseller.

His replay is nonsense. You can use your MAC Address same time on 5 different Portals.

Not quite, yes you can use MAC address same time on 5 different portals but as explained above if both are resellers selling for the same iptv provider then the MAC address will already exist so new provider therefore will not be able to add it until existing provider releases/removes there MAC address.

    Another update:

I have spoken to iptv provider, going round and round in roundabouts, basically blaming device lol, well it's not to be fair as i tried another provider and no issues now with the mytvonline app, works great, not saying there's a bug still as others are having issues with buffering to but can only speak for myself with all the testing i have done on my own setup, network etc.

Seeing as my iptv provider typically like they do, quick to blame device or connection and to top it off after days of testing, and chatting to them, and hours of hard work and costing me money buying extra vpn etc. From the start i told them which device and app i'm using to be told then today there service doesn't play well with z7+ or the app and they don't recommend it or support the mytvonline app, clearly just making it up as they go along as it just takes a mag portal url like many other apps out there, yet i have to say there service works fine elsewhere just not with the mytvonline app, i get why they saying that it's not them as there service works great on other apps on the Z7+, but quick to bash the box because there service and the mytonlineapp don't play well together. Funny enough i know 1 other provider at least that highly recommend this Z7+.

So in summary, maybe still a bug with buffering and app but for me since trying another provider i have not had a single buffer in the past 4 hours, with my OLD provider it would buffer from every minute to few minutes non stop.

I don't know if i can post the provider here but if staff want to message me or something i will tell you who they are, that way in future you can ask customers if they are with this particular provider and save everyone a load of hassle.

Now i'm going to have some me time with my new box and enjoy some streaming! as we not properly bonded yet lolz :face_with_tongue:

Will post if anything changes but so far all good :grinning_squinting_face:

Does your IPTV provider use xstream codes? This is a known issue. It's working beautifully with one of my provide is but not with the other same issue as you. However my biggest problem with the box is unable to rouse it from standby mode and, when it does wake up spinning Android Circle forever. They've got to the end of the month to fix it and then I'm returning it sadly

Yes but when i signed up i had to choose between MAG type device (mag portal) which i choose or xstream, so yes they do support xstream but not on my account as i choose MAG device which requires a MAC address to be provided to IPTV provider.

I have seen the spinning android circle when powering up device but never got stuck there. I assume you have tried a factory and software reset? Possibly you were unlucky and just got a faulty or fake box.

I have about three times had to pull the power out on back of box sometimes as if it won't respond.

Did you buy from a official distributor?

In addition to the above. Another quick update:

One thing i have not done is try another iptv provider. So i signed up for a trial with a good iptv provider, i added them to the mytvonline app portal and so far no buffering at all.

This means the first iptv provider and the mytvonline app doesn't work well together at all. Also i been having conversation with another member who also happens to be with the same iptv provider as me on which this issue is happening via the mytvonline app.

I have reported this to the iptv provider in question and await a response from them. However i want to reiterate that others have reported this issue to on here and they may not be using same provider as me so still possible the mytvonline app still has a bug causing excessive buffering. Hopefully other users will pick this up who having same issue and reply to let us know.

The only way we gonna squash this bug if there is one, pun intended is to work together. so other users if you having this issue please reply and let us know as if you having excessive buffering and not using same provider as me then good chance still a bug in mytvonline app or you're network/setup. In my case i have pointed this issue down between first iptv provider and the mytvonline app, as all explained.

So ... At the moment it seems iptv provider (first one) isn't playing ball with the mytvonline app or the mytvonline app isn't playing ball with the first iptv provider, second iptv provider working fine so far no buffering

Will report back once i here back from iptv provider.

Can admin or someone knowledge this thread please so we know you are listening?

    Thank you

homescreen - settings (cog) - android - advanced settings - Video color space & HDMI deep color, change to an 8bit option, when set to 10 bit and streaming old shows/programs does there face look like the youngsters who paint.... oops i mean tan there face nowadays? (ie. they look like tangerines) lol try that and see. You will be told if your current resolution needs changing to change the video color space.

"Service Unavailable" message in MYTVOnline is the same as "STB Blocked" on MAG/emu.

This message can appear for any one of the following reasons:

    • Your MAC is blocked, banned, deleted, suspended on the server side
    • Your sub expired

If MOL and MAG/Emu give you the same message while trying to log in with the same MAC, I think the answer to your question is clear.

totally agree with you. I had similar problem not quite the same, but basically your provider need to unblock your mac address, also if you buy a subscription from a reseller but you already had a subscription with the main provider they will need to release your MAC address, some providers will block MAC if you have a dispute or there system suspects suspicious activity. So i would say yes this was an issue with you're provider(s). Also some providers if using a vpn some require you to send them a support ticket to enable vpn on your account, soem do some don't and that will cause video to not load but usually the guide will. Again can be provider specific.

    UPDATE: 19/03/2018

SAM - I have tagged you here as you are admin and hopefully can help now get this escalated if possible.

Edit: can't tag SAM (admin) for some reason.

@175n - Have tagged you as i think you are staff and can report bugs?

    Results:

    1) Streaming via IPTV provider web portal using my computer using web browser, no buffering in the time I was watching in web portal with and without VPN connection.

    2) Streaming via Z7+ using official IPTV provider android app, odd buffer here and there with and without VPN. But not excessive and what I consider normal for any streaming, specially IPTV.

    3) Streaming via Z7+ using official IPTV provider Kodi add-on, same as number 2 above. (advancedsettings.xml optimized)

    4) Streaming via Z7+ using other streaming apps, i.e. all uk on demand apps, youtube, other streaming apps from market etc, no buffering.

    5) Streaming from my mobile using official IPTV provider android app with and without a VPN connection over Wi-Fi, no buffering.

    Now here comes the issue.

8.) Streaming via Z7+ using the MyTVOnline app and I get buffering regularly, totally abnormal, although I experience buffer now and then from my IPTV provider which is part of IPTV it’s just so bad in the MyTVOnline app it comes up all the time ‘loading…’ and those blue rectangle icons that supposed to show connection and the little circle icon next to it greys out when buffering happens (loading…) and I suspect the problem lies around that part of the app, making it impossible to use the MyTVOnline app to stream which is a great shame as I bought the box for this app specifically.

Other users have also reported this on the forum so this is not an isolated problem with just myself. When I get buffering I then test the same channel in computer web browser or different app, device and I don’t get any or very little so not the channel either. So, the MyTVOnline app must have serious bug somewhere.

    My testing and findings:

This confirms this is not an issue with my IPTV provider, my internet, my two VPN providers, my hardware/equipment. I can stream without buffering or very little buffering whether connected to a VPN or not and via their web portal on my computer, mobile, vi Kodi their own official Kodi add-on and official android app without buffering or very little. Yet stream via the z7+ MyTvOnline app and it’s extremely excessive.

I have tested this with two VPN providers and over my normal internet connection using multiple VPN locations, changing streaming server locations from my IPTV provider account, testing different devices using same setups/servers etc and different configurations.

I have a fibre connection and getting full speed via VPN 57mbps download / 20mbps upload, average ping 15/20ms.

I run my VPN client on my router and my router has hardware accelerated crypto which drastically improves VPN speeds, my router is only few days old and had same buffering problem on previous router so not my equipment or internet connection speed, not my modem as my line stats can be viewed via my modem web-gui, I use my own equipment not the cheap ISP provided equipment. Again, this happens when using my normal internet connection as well. Same as what others on this forum have reported.

The only one I can’t stream from because of extensive buffering ‘loading…’ is the MyTVOnline app and others agree with this as seen on this forum.

    That leaves me with…

    1) The Z7+ not powerful enough (doubt it very much)

    2) There is a serious bug in the firmware and/or the MyTVOnline app. Highly Likely.

I have done everything possible to try and track this down as far as I can and have spent a few days testing all this out and it’s cost me money to do so. At this point I am hoping someone who has the authority could escalate this to whom it concerns as it’s needs investigating further, I have done everything I possibly can in terms of testing,

I have gone above and beyond doing this to be honest but i can 100% confidently say this is a bug with the MyTVOnline app.

Seeing as I and others are also posting about this issue I hope we can get a resolution to this as at the moment I see no point in owning this box as it causes serious buffering problems using the MyTVOnline app, the one thing I wanted to use it for and others agree to,

May send it back depending if this can be investigated further as these results speak for themselves to be fair, like I say I have done extensive testing, I am not going to reset the box every time something goes wrong as that is not a solution. I don’t want to send it back but feel I have done everything I can at this point. I really like the box and don't want to sound nasty or harsh in any shape or form but someone needs to admit the mytvonline app is the problem and that it will be sent over to whomever it concerns for investigating, seeing this box is being bought mainly for the app, i do feel it's very important this is escalated with the highest priority.

    Thank you.

ps. If formuler want's to award me with a medal then i'll happily take it  ... my head is fried and my body aches, i'm tired being up til 3AM early hours every day since last week, every day/night testing all this but hope we get get this sorted now. :grinning_squinting_face:

Did a bit more testing when i had time, on demand content (stuff already been aired) no buffering what so ever, same with VOD. Problem lies within Live TV.

I've tried 2 VPN providers now, second provider is used and recommended by my iptv proveder as they use them themselves, full line speed when using vpn providers and different locations, happens without vpn etc as well, only happens in MyTVOnline app, but am going to test within the next day or so using my computer and kodi/vlc and iptv provider web portal. All other stuff i have already stated here: MYTVOnline app causing serious buffering issues.

    Hi,

Everytime since yesterday i restart box it does the checking for updates which is fine but when it gets to 'checking for IPTV app updates' it downloads a 10MB file then boots as normal. But keeps doing it on every restart?

Also when I was viewing on demand in MyTVOnline app and paused it, i could here ads etc playing in background, i went to homepage kept finger down on menu, closed all apps pressing red button and still could here audio like if a channel was playing in background whilst i paused on demand, think it maybe another bug, only way to stop it was to restart box. In regards to pausing on demand, when i pause on demand via MyTVOnline app it pauses but when i press play, the on demand content i was viewing starts from beginning and the timers which show how long you been watching something and total time which are shown on screen are totally messed up.

    Hi,

Videos below to show problems. Not major bugs but annoying I guess.

    Formuler Z7+

    1) When I restart/reboot device box shortcut icons on homepage are always missing, to fix I have to scroll to second page then back to first and they appear back to normal.

    Video: http://bit.ly/2plaUTH

    2) The MXPlayer shortcut on homepage, in video demonstration I want to change it to chrome would not work or so you think, the shortcut icon does not update on homepage with new icon but when you select the shortcut it opens up the new app in my case chrome although homepage still shows MXPlayer shortcut icon, then try to delete, change colour of shortcut and also would not work.

    Video: http://bit.ly/2HKFNZw

Is this forum having server problems? It takes forever to load for me, wait several minutes then I get 500 internal error, request timeout, anyone else have same problem. I pinged formuler-support.tv and average ping 491.880ms and 16.7% packet loss.

    Hope it helps. Cheers.

I had this when i first recieved my box, i went to network <a href="https://www.formuler-support.tv/lexicon/index.…try/4-settings/">[lexicon]settings[/lexicon]</a> and changed the wired connection from Auto DHCP to Static IP

Just made it the same IP as it was on the auto and rebooted the box and its perfect now

I already did this as on my network all permanent devices are given static ip's and still same, set static ip on the box and then on my router so it will always have the same ip. what iptv provider you using? message me let me know be interested to try your provider to see if it happens still out of curiosity.Cheers.

same here as already described here: MYTVOnline app causing serious buffering issues

    Hi,
I also have the same issue as the OP

ISP = Plusnet UK (80/20) no issues with my MAG256 box OR Enigma2 box (same sub) until I purchased the Z7+ a few weeks ago.

TV picture shows loading every x seconds making tv unwatchable (irrespective of channel SD/HD/FHD).
The only workaround I found was to go into the main system [lexicon]settings[/lexicon] and select software reset.
The box is 'normal' again for several hours, then deteriorates again and have to repeat workaround.

Apart from this issue the box is great.

The loading screen seems to be causing the issue i think, if you press info button on remote when watching a channel you will see the blue bar go down sometimes until they show in grey then the loading screen pops up and causes what appears to look like buffering but suspect it's not buffering as to many of use having same issue.

same here, i posted about it yesterday. I bought from ebay Kuulmedia last week and not contacted him myself, my z7+ is hardwired into my brand new received yesterday rt-ac86u router, had same problem on my rt-ac68u router to although i knew nothing to do with my router i just needed to upgrade, my router also has crypto engine built into cpu which improves vpn connections dramatically, got fibre 76mbps down / 20mbps up (upgraded yesterday from 38mbps down / 10mbps up, running z7+ through the router vpn client (i use merlin firmware), tried multitude of servers. Playing on demand content thats already been broadcast i get no buffering at all but do get it in streamed live tv constantly as you describe, sometimes not as frequent but frequent enough to ruin viewing experience. get no buffering in kodi using same provider and m3u file, streaming from other apps, 40d, itv hub, iplayer, youtube etc other free streaming apps and again no buffering, i get buffering when not using vpn connection to, i changed streaming server location via my iptv provider account and again same, did a factory reset and software reset more than once. I am at a loss now tbh.

It would be great if this could be looked into further. Cheers.

Did you change the Default Storage option in the Android [lexicon]settings[/lexicon]?
If you did, what is it set to right now?

yes after putting in microsd, i changed default to microsd and worked fine, but before ejecting microsd i forgot to change it back to default internal storage, did the change and works again THANK YOU! Maybe in a future firmware upgrade it could change it back to default internal storage automatically when ejecting microsd or something.Cheers.

So after the above, i inserted microsd back in, changed storage back to microsd, rebooted and market still works with microsd inserted and being used as default storage. Did this few times though prior and it did not work so god only knows i guess.

    Cheers.

    2. Linked video doesn't work.

google removed claming it violated there terms, bloody fools. link: http://bit.ly/2HDsPN0

I will remove video once viewed/downloaded as google spitting it's dummy out of the pram lol.

Also keep trying the remind me feature and still does nothing at all.

    Cheers.

    EDIT:

Video now removed as google complained about violation for some reason. Hope you downloaded/viewed it before i removed. If not will share again.

Yes. It is provider specific. But if this feature is working on a MAG box and not MYTVOnline, it is something we are interested in fixing.

I can't reproduce the issue with the following [lexicon]settings[/lexicon]:
    IP Addr: 0.0.0.8
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Please see the linked video: https://goo.gl/VnaRGV

Reported to R&D. It should be patched later this Spring.

    1. I do not have a mag box so don't know but use a mag url for MyTVOnline app, unfortunately pressing green button to use remind me does nothing.
    2. Crazy as happened everytime i did it yet today, i pinned it down further, enter a valid starting ip ie. 192 then try number 8 it crashed, then enter a valid ip ie 192.168.42.81 then go to subnet enter number 8 or an invalid subnet number and it will crash again, sometimes it then comes up checking for iptv updates and firmware updates. Video of problem: https://goo.gl/1jjmPp
    3
    . ok cheers.

    Hello,

If I understand you correctly, currently you can install apps from the Play Store, but you can't install apps from the "Market"?

This does sound like a peculiar bug.

Yes correct. Not sure if it just a coincidence but before logging into google playstore i WAS ABLE to download from 'Market'.

By any chance do you have any USB or microSD cards inserted in the box?

I have a microSD card inserted formatted to NTFS as i know there is a bug with exfat causing crashing and ext2/3/4 gave permissions issue, NTFS though works perfect though.

I removed the microSD, rebooted box and tested but still same problem.

    Cheers.

    Hi,

After much tinkering and investigating i think the MYTVOnline app is potentially the cause of my buffering issues.

First i increased buffer to 10 seconds. Ensured HLS Start Mode was set to Normal (been searching these forums). I run my vpn client on my router with no issues. set static ip address on box and router.

My connection speed is more than ample whether connected to vpn or not, buffering happens whether i'm connected to vpn or not. Been in contact with provider, I can change the streaming server i am connected to via my iptv provider account which i have done and tried, closest to me. My next step was install kodi on z7+ then install simple pvr client addon. When streaming via Kodi i get no buffering but switch back to MYTVOnline app and for some reason it causes excessive buffering intermittently and regulary, tried factory and software reset (twice).

Just wondering is there possible an issue with the app ? anyone else having same issues ? any help/advice/recommendations very welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    me again

What does this icon mean exactly??

    obuxqNm.jpg

I ask as i am getting buffering with IPTV provider (probably overloaded servers). I notice the blue bars go grey when it buffers and go back up again etc (fluctuate). It happens on my normal internet connection and vpn connection, buffer was increased in [lexicon]settings[/lexicon], streaming from iplayer, 40d, itv hub etc has no buffering, speed is well above minimum speed requirements so must be there servers and want to understand the meaning of this icon so i can go and tell my provider.

Thanks for replying, only just noticed you posted never got a notification to let me know you replied.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the report.

    • The remind function works well on original Stalker servers and may work with xtreamcodes Stalker services.
    • Can you tell us which invalid inputs you used to cause the crash?
    • Will look into this. It is probably a bug that was overlooked because the number of people not using DHCP is very small these days

    1. Ok the remind me button does nothing, i assume it's provider specific?
    2. For 'IP Address' Any invalid private ip range, so try number 8 for example it will freeze etc as described. same for subnet any invalid subnet range will work and same for the rest.
    3) Ok, well i set static ip's on my local network equipment and at router level for multiple reasons, it does not effect internet connection or anything.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Prior to logging in to google play store to update some apps i was able to download apps from the 'Market' app (not google play store), not sure if google play store has anything to do with it or it's just a coincidence but when i try to download any app including apps from the secret one 0852, i select/press download and the button turns to waiting for a second then turns to shows download again, as before it would say downloading and then installing. I basically can't install apps from 'Market' unless i download from google play store, as before i could download from 'Market'.

    any help much appreciated. Cheers.
