The box will come out of standby mode and turn on in order to record a pre-scheduled recording. Note that after the recording is done, the box will remain ON and not go back to sleep mode.
I'm trying to understand, why not have the box go back to standby after it's done recording? If the box was in standby originally, it turns on to record, wouldn't it make sense to have the box go back to standby after it's done recording? What's the benefit of having it kept on after recording is finished?
I wonder if it was just that one time it didn't wake from standby, because it seems to be waking just fine now *crosses fingers* Even waking when there's a scheduled recording, and not laggy either.
I'm very impressed by the developers listening to its users, I was quite upset when I bought the box and having things not work, actually considered selling the box and getting a BuzzTV, but not anymore. Probably gonna buy another one now 
Updated firmware, still unable to wake from sleep.
It usually doesn't wake when it's in standby for a long period of time (overnight), but today I put the box to sleep for just an hour and it wouldn't turn on either.
sounds like is impossible to escape... That is really bad. I started to regret buying this box, it's one problem after another. Such a shame I had high hopes.
100% with you. Bought this box for my mom to make it easier for her, has ended up being a bigger pain than a cheap eBay Android box she had previously. For the premium you pay compared to those eBay boxes, you'd think it'd actually work.
I didn't really understand DVB-T, so figured it wouldn't be tough to get connected, but apparently DVB-T is European based; disappointed there isn't an ATSC version of the box. Probably gonna sell the box at a loss and purchase the BuzzTV box, which supports ATSC instead.
I'm having this happen as well. Just purchased this box a couple days ago, and already experiencing issues this one; kinda regret choosing this unit instead of the BuzzTV box.
