how are you entering your IPTV details? MAC, Xtream, or M3U ?

Currently I don't believe so, someone correct me if I'm wrong
-
Havr you tried changing the length of time? i.e. while watching a channel, press record twice and menu should pop up where you can change length of time.
-
I'm guessing it's the classic case of 'storage' vs 'useable storage'. I'm guessing ~3GB of the 8GB is for Operating System-level stuff. Thus you're left with 5GB of useable storage when you power on the box for the first time. And even pre-installed apps such as MYTVONLINE, Youtube, etc will eat into the 5GB.
-
Catchup has nothing to do with external storage. Catchup is when your iptc provider continuously records a channel on their side, allowing you to go back on time and watch content without YOU needing to record anything.
Timeshifting, i.e. pressing pause and coming back 20mins later where you left off, or rewinding live TV, this is what requires an external recording storage device.

Currently the remote + Netflix on Z8 do not work well but it is a known issue and being worked on
-
ok now I understand, hopefully that functionality will come back to Z8
-
First off, you're saying you could record one channel and watch another channel at the sametime on your Z7+ using MYTVONLINE? if so, that's the first I've ever heard of that! What do you mean 'multiROOM sub?
Recording when and where you can record, yes the Z8 has reduced functionality in this regard and this point but I have to believe that this will get rectified shortly. I also am not a fan of this limitation. But I can almost guarantee you it'll be fixed sooner than later. The formuler guys are already working on the next update. I've had the Z8 for about 3-4 weeks and I've had 3 software updates in that time so the formuler guys are working a lot to fix bugs and bring features up to par with Z7+
-
Is the box gonna be updated to 8
Doubtful
-
-
My Z7+ remote can control my Z8 without any modifications. I suspect the reverse can happen also
-
Hello,
Face the same issue either in Z7+ as in Z8.
Anyone has any more feedback about this?
dont recall this issue being fixed, but havent really watched catchup in quite sometime (but I guess since you're seeing it the issue still exists).
-
Hi,
Is the catchup only possible when the current program finishes? Why you cannot rewind the program that is being transmitted in real-time?
Regards,
Bruno
at least on Z7+, you had to wait until it was done. Not ideal, but that's how it is right now (not a bug per-say, just a design choice I guess). I know the feature request you mention has been mentioned/requested before, I think there's a 'wishlist' thread somewhere for Z7+ / MYTVONLINE, I believe it's captured there.

Hello,
I am running M3u.
Please check the attachments below for more details of question #1. First image is on Formuler Z7+ and second is on Z8.
Regards,
Bruno
ok yeah gotcha. Seems like it would be a relatively easy fix
-
No DRM Lv1
-
Are you running MAC or M3U ?
What exactly do you mean in question #1? Do you mean when you're in full EPG view and if you scroll to the right, only 2 timeslots worth of info show up? I.e. the full epg is not being loaded?
More details the better !
-
watching two streams at once has nothing to do with the Z7+ hardware. It's an app question
-
see my first sentence above, not currently possible with the built in IPTV app (MYTVONLINE). You can download other IPTV apps as you desire and some of them may support recording + watching another channel
-
Not currently possible with MYTVONLINE. My opinion is it's not necessarily a good idea to have it, because if you implemented such a function you would risk being banned my your provider who don't support multiple connections/streams. Not every provider supports multiple connections.

markophillips, I believe Pedro2019 issue isn’t regarding the lack of speed from PIA, but rather the lack of speed coming from his device (firestick). Running a VPN on a device requires that device to be of certain processing power in order to make the VPN run well (it can run on a slow processor like what is found in a firestick, but it will typically not provide fast VPN speeds). Even the processor on the Formuler devices aren’t not ‘great’ if you want high VPN speeds.
So changing to another VPN is unlikely to fix Pedro2019 problem (I’ve tried 2-3 VPNs on my formuler, PIA, Nord, and one other, and I get similar speeds from all).
Pedro2019, I’ve read good things about the Asus AC88U & AC86U routers (expensive though). The AC68U from ASUS is a bit cheaper and also good. Basically, a router with a fast CPU is what you’re after.
Ps some quick googling seemed to hint that you can install a VPN on your virgin router so may be worth looking into before buying something else!
-
I am currently using a firestick for my iptv service. However they are awful with VPN speeds. I use pia. On my laptop I’m getting 105mb down with no vpn and 70 down with Vpn. The firestick will only do 18 at best down. At busy times when my overall speed drops the iptv becomes useless through the Vpn.
I am looking to upgrade and have heard good things re the formula z7 boxes. My question is will I suffer the same slow Vpn speeds as the firestick or is the hardware on the formula box able to produce higher speeds?
You won't get laptop-like speeds. Ony desktop I would get 90% of my full speed, whereas with the formuler I believe I was getting on the order of 25-50% if I remember correctly.
Depending on your router, it can be quite easy to put the VPN there, that's what I recommend.
-
Ta. Unfortunately my pia runs out in September. Will use my firestick, when the footie is on.
Maybe there's some help in this thread (it's for another formuler box but pretty sure it's applicable. There's more than one way to install VPN on the box). VPN Setup
-
Yeah and downloaded a separate APK, just to try. Pia say my device isn't compatible and formuler say it is. At the moment I have no VPN. Hi which hinders when I would like to watch certain sports.
Werid. For what it's worth, NordVPN app works on z7+, I used to use it a bit. Maybe get a cheap NordVPN subscription and cancel your PIA sub when it's done? Lots of good reviews for NordVPN
-
Hi. Does anyone know how to install PIA onto a z7+. I'm having no luck. Cheers.
Have you tried going to the Google Play Store and downloading the PIA app ?
-
Hi. I have a dumb question. How do you write a thread?
How do you create a NEW thread? Within the various sections of these forums, you'll see a ''create thread' button. So for example, if you have a problem with the Z7+ box, go to that particular forum section and then press the create thread button
-
Regarding the recording: there's a lot at play here. The common issue is that there is a temporary issue with the actual stream and this causes the recording to stop prematurely.
Does your recording work at all? i.e. while you watch TV, lress record and record for 10mins while you're watching. Does it record and can you watch the recorded file successfully?
-
Both are great and speeds will vary based on your location. Basically, you can't go wrong with either.
-
Maybe make sure you've set the resolution to Max (or 1920 x 1080) via the formuler remote (resolution button) ?
-
Seems weird for sure!
-
When will DVB-c support via usb stick ?
This question is unrelated to the thread topic. Start a new thread.

Hi all MYTVOnline users,
When I press the "Info" button on a channel, a banner is displayed. if I press again on "Info", I display additional info and I have an info on Bitrate. When I access a channel this value is high enough, then after a while the bitrate goes down to stabilize at a value that is often much lower. What does this decrease in the bitrate value mean?
Thank you for your feedback
The initial value is likely not realistic, takes 5-10secs for bitrate to stabilize and provide a realistic number.
-
basically yeah. The closer to your location the better
-
Ya don’t see why this wouldn’t be possible.
-
Ok thanks SAM I’ll check it out

Hey guys, I’m trying to help a friend out with an issue.
He’s got his formuler box hooked up to router via Ethernet cable. Formuler box is wired to TV via HDMI, and cable box is also wired to TV via HDMI. When my friend switches from CABLE input to FORMULER input, and then clicks MYTVONLINE he always gets a ‘Connection Issue. Please check your internet connection and portal URL’. This happens every time he switches from Cable input to Formuler input. To remedy the issue, he goes into Ethernet settings and clicks on ‘Automatic (DHCP)’ again and allows the connection to reconnect essentially. Then he can watch IPTV again.
He says this issue occurs whether he’s wired directly to Ethernet port OR to the USB via an USB to Ethernet adapter (the adapter he uses has been verified to work with formuler box, it’s same one I use and recommend on the forums)
Any tips?
-
lots of talk about this in the forums. No confirmed details but HIGHLY likely it’ll be Android Phone OS (like 99% of the boxes out there)
-
Wish list: not sure if this actually already occurs on my Z7+, but it would make sense to load the EPG data for our favourites list before any other set of channels.
-
How offen do I have to update my Z7+
We’ve been getting an update about every 1.5-2months on average I’d say.
-
I’ve got the epg issue on my box. Although there’s been huge gains in EPG performance over last 6 months, I still only get about 40-70% of my channels having their epg info loaded automatically, and then the remainder only show up if I click on the actual channel.

Thanks, struggling to find anything about anything in here!
Search ‘tenda u12’ and you should see some stuff. That chipset is officially supported by the z series of boxes
