For some context: I first had a Formuler Z8 a few years ago, but left it aside and then used a Fire TV 4K Max with Tivimate for quite a while. Recently I switched back to Formuler with the Z12 Ultra and MyTVOnline3. I’d like to share some feedback on the app’s ergonomics, because in my opinion there are a few points that could be improved.

Navigation buttons (Search and Settings)

• The green Search button only works when watching a live TV channel. It cannot be used anywhere else, for example when browsing VOD Movies or Series. This forces me to go back to a live channel just to make a search, which feels very inconvenient.
• Same issue with the Settings/Menu button: it doesn’t work when checking the synopsis of a movie or series. To me, these buttons should be usable everywhere inside the app, not only in restricted contexts.

Live TV channel navigation

• When starting a channel, the OSD appears and forces me to use the left arrow to zap. Once the OSD disappears, I must use the up/down arrows instead. This inconsistency causes mistakes, because the buttons change behavior depending on whether the OSD is visible or not.
• Additionally, when on a live channel without the OSD, the left arrow becomes useless. It would make much more sense if pressing left always opened the channel list (just like Tivimate does). That way, there’s no confusion for the user.
• I tried to bypass this by setting the OSD display time to 1 second. In Live TV this works well, since the OSD disappears quickly and up/down navigation feels natural. However, in VOD or Series, the OSD also vanishes after 1 second, making it almost impossible to fast-forward or change audio tracks properly. Ideally, the OSD timeout setting should be separated between Live TV and VOD.

Rewinding in Live TV

One of the biggest regressions I feel coming from Tivimate is the lack of quick rewind in Live TV. On MOL3, if I want to go back just 30 seconds or 1 minute:

• I have to enter the timeshift,
• start the replay,
• fast-forward all the way until the end,
• and then I end up with a 6–7 minute delay compared to the live broadcast.

This is extremely cumbersome compared to simply pressing twice to replay the last minute, which Tivimate allows. For me this is a very important missing feature.

Conclusion

Overall, I really like the potential of the Z12 Ultra and the Formuler remote control (it offers more buttons than Fire TV, which should normally save time). But in practice, due to these navigation inconsistencies and missing features, I actually lose more time compared to Tivimate.

I hope this feedback helps improve the user experience, because the box itself has a lot of potential, but right now these small ergonomic issues really reduce efficiency.

For EPG data this seems to be solved by deleting MOL2 app data + resetting TV programs data

For micro freezes, there is always some.

Edit : The epg got out of hand again. 😭😭

For the past few days I have had various concerns with my formulate z8 / supplier.

I specify

First incident:

My EPGs are 2 hours late.

Test performed:

- Verification of the time of formulation: No worries

- Test with another supplier: No worries

- Test with another player on MOL2: No worries

- Update: Same incident

- Clear the MOL2 cache: Same incident

- Box reboot: Same incident

- Deletion of the portal + creation: Same incident

The solution I found is to set the EPGs to -2: 00, however on the channel preview I still have the wrong EPG (but it's ok if I go manually in the programs.

Second incident:

Micro image freezing on FHD channels at random (about 2 times per minute)

Test performed:

- Test with another supplier: No worries

- Test with another player on MOL2: No worries

- Update: Same incident

- Clear the MOL2 cache: Same incident

- Box reboot: Same incident

- Deletion of the portal + creation: Same incident

I don't know what else to try.

For information, I connect with the portal's https address + ID / password.

I'll explain my concerns to you.

Since my purchase of my formuler Z8, I have been using the M3u file that I have fully configured with about twenty categories.

I did this because the channels were poorly rated at the time and there were no features that I liked.

The M3U file met my expectations but making concessions on on-demand TV, series and replay.

Today I wanted to try the portal again and I was extremely surprised at the progress made in series, TV on demand, replay and especially the possibility of creating categories.

However after doing 10 categories it says that I cannot do more than 10 groups.

I would like to understand why the Formuler company wanted to limit the number of categories, because I would really like this parameter to be changed.
