With virginmedia - Hub 3 router has a test function, login and this test tells you if there is a problem with devices connected to the router.
On their website, they have a network test for your area.
Oct 20, my wifi kept dropping and router test showed a problem. The test on virgin website said there was a problem with interference on network in my area causing issues with my connection.
No issues after they sorted out the problem.
Ask your isp to run tests on your connection.

No VPN and connect with ethernet. 500mbits line, should be more than enough
Simple options first - try a different LAN cable and run speed tests.
Also check with ISP if there is a problem.

I can't find a good answer to my question so I ask again
z8pro freezes/hangs from time to time and I have to restart my provider connection
Is the only way to avoid this to do a factory reset and install again?
How is the Z8 pro connected? WiFI or Lan
Are you using a VPN?
Might be worth checking other options before factory reset.
My Z8 Pro doesn't have this problem

Same problem when i tryed with another hdmi cable.
After many attempts i get in to the box but after the firmware uppdate the box will restart and then i have the same problem againHDMI cable will not be causing this issue.
From your video, factory reset worked but software update fails.
Try connection via LAN cable if connected by WIFI or a different cable if already connected by LAN.
The firmware reset image, I believe is already on the box which is used to factory reset.
The LAN cable is needed to update software via internet connection.
If it still doesn't work and the boxes are within warranty, return them

We who has hundreds of customers with Formuler boxes that have had the black screen issue is tired of making all the extra service and support with giving them the XC-login info when the stalker login in does not work.
Many of the customers are not the most technical ones when it comes to get instructions and then follow them.
That is why they bought this box from the beginning.They wanted a box that works. Without any hassle.
XC login is much better than stalker login as more options were added to the IPTV service.
Any customer that can add stalker login, will not have an issue adding login username and password.
Sadly, there are customers that will need support until they get used to everything involved with IPTV streaming services.
All boxes have hassles with network connection etc at sometime and support will be needed even when there is no simple fix.

Many providers give their customers all options for connection to their service including web browser.
I have different apps on my Z8 pro.
I only had black screen issue once - both apps had the issue, turned out to be provider issue.

Factory Reset after firmware 1.2.71 and newer
If the box doesn't reset, send the faulty 2 back as there must be something wrong with the recovery image that stops being reset.

Not it cant, virgin hub. Have ordered a vpn router, hope that helps.
Check out some good guides on youtube for connecting 2 routers on your network.
One router can act as a vpn hub for connected devices

Thanks, of course, I am using one device at a time. As Z8 pro is not working, I am using Z7+. I am considering to return it.
Should I assume that Z8 Pro will not work with MAC/ID based providers or it is not made for these providers?
Can confirm it works with Mac ID as I had a trial with one service provider, had to turn VPN off for it to work as it was a requirement.

But what is the latest firmware software update?! I have one from September and thats it. Dont want to buy a new box if i can update software... i have still the nordvpn subscription, so cheaper for a new box if I have to.
Sadly no update to Android, only update for MYTVOnline.
See if your router can be setup with Nordvpn

Tried, doesnt work. I had Nordvpn on the chat for 2 hrs trying these things out... cant download if from googleplay or from their website. Device not compatible. Very very odd.
It means that Nordvpn is not supporting this device anymore - it's their app that doesn't work anymore

Your choice now is to find a new vpn service, get a new device or a router with vpn

Provider changed the MAC/ID in my profile, but no luck. I don't think provider has any other method for connecting but I am not sure.

You should only use one device at a time for single connection service.
Just ask them for Xtreme Codes Api Setup or see these video guides showing all methods for setting up the service,

When I tried to connect using ID (starting with "00 1A 79 .......), got the message "Your account is blocked. Contact you service provider. Code:7" with Z8 Pro.
But my Z7+ is working fine with the same provider.
Do you have a 2 connection service?
Z7+ is registered on provider service.
Asked provider for Xtreme Codes Api Setup - url, username and password.

Just because its same provider doesn't mean it's same server in all cases
Checking other channels
Channels from one group is still working while others are down showing black screen.
Same result from TiviMate app.
Rick is correct and maybe some servers are down, have contacted provider to see if server is down.

It's happened on both Z7+5G and Z8 pro.
Same provider, 2 different lines
Both connected via wifi and went down same time.
Z7+5G - confirmed internet connection by switching to live streaming app
Z8 pro - MyTVOnline 2 info screen attached image
switched to TiviMate, still black screen error occurred code 403, checked internet speed - 62Mbps.

I have 2 Z8 and one works fine and the other is not, with the same provider. so it must be at the box/mol2.

This is why it is difficult to diagnose the issue.
Box 1 - hey no problem here, everything is perfect.

Box 2 - what the
, call provider - not my problem, look for answers why the app is not working. Contact forum and see others have same issue while many have no issues.

Understand the need to speak to a person but you got to understand that when you are awake they maybe sleeping in another time zone.

After numerous android boxes without support, I found Formuler devices and this forum.
Have faith it will be fixed

Sadly not all providers have full epg and that can also be a problem
This is definitely not something under Formuler's control or google assistant.

Both Z8 and the Z8 Pro.
They have tried all the things Kingcool wrote.
Nothing helps.
Can we get some info from Formulers side?
You must have gotten a lot of complaints the last days.
What are your thoughts about this mess?
The customers are annoyed and we stand without any good solution to them.
Please make a statement about this problem with your boxes.



Just to rule out issues with MYTVOnline 2, maybe you could get a trial with another couple of providers to test?
You can then open a ticket and document your experience.
This would give them a chance to replicate the setup to see if it is provider issue
