Thanks. Upon more (and more) inspection of logs and analysis I've discovered that my ISP was blocking connections to your firmware update website. I've now used a hotspot (another ISP) to connect and it is now downloading the firmware. Hopefully this will also solve the other problem of running MOL2.

Yes, multiple times.
I don't have a problem accessing that 'beta updates' menu, pressing 0227 and then red button works. But no firmware update is seen there neither. I think my device has a problem pulling firmware info, hence the "Firmware Info Error (network)(-1)"
I see what you mean though, sometimes I couldn't access it because of wrong section being in focus, and needed to press the 'tab' button

Thanks for your help, but as I mentioned I've already tried Beta updates through the 0227 menu. Still doesn't see a firmware update beyond 1.4.11, even on that screen.
Just received my Z8 on Saturday, started it up, went through the initial setup process and software update. Then attempted to run MOL2 but it kept crashing and just showing me the Software Update screen again (with a 'current version is latest' message). I suspect it has to do with my firmware not updating beyond 1.4.11 whilst updating IPTV software to 7.2.2. It doesn't seem to detect that there's a firmware 1.4.22. When using Software Update v2.0.6, I see an additional error message saying ""Firmware Info Error (network)(-1)".
Any ideas why this might be happening? Can I install the latest firmware manually (if so, instructions and download link?)? Would that solve the issue of MOL2 not running?
Note that I have already tried beta updates; and I have already raised a support ticket. Just thought I might get quicker help here if someone encountered this before.
