Unfortunately once again an update for z11 and the time shift still not fixed. When i turn on z11 from standby in the morning the unit does a content refresh. Once finished the timeshift will show 00:00 when trying to use the timeshift.
It's necessary to turn off the z11 and back on to resume use of timeshift every time after content refresh. Please fix
After a couple days of using z11 pro with latest update the timeshift is still not fixed. When I watch a vod using the formuler vod player and then returning to live TV the 00:00 is what timeshift shows. Also box does this after content refresh. I have to cycle power to get the timeshift working again.
No added apps on this unit.
Please try with other device or use for timeshift sd card and for recording current device.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I have tried an SD card and 3 flash drives. They all give same result. When I actually get the timeshift for live TV to work no matter server or atsc ota TV the timeshift is bad. Rwd it may freeze, same with ffwd and if you go to ffwd to live TV it starts the timeshift counter over.
I have verified by setting a hotkey to live TV and doing that does same result resets the timeshift counter.

Forgot to add I did a factory reset on my unit today and same as above. No apps and only 2 servers running and hauppauge atsc tuner
Disconnect and reformat with NTFS on PC (if possible with Rufus tool), connect again with box and restart once. In MOL3 menu DVR check if drive recognised for recording and timeshift.
Did exactly as you said using Rufus formatted non Bootable ntfs and it has a line thru it under dvr options. It allows me to turn on and line goes away but no timeshift at all now. Record works
Using a flash drive and I wish I could say the same. The timeshift fails when ffwd, freezes and loses data and starts over at 0. This started after update.
Doesn't matter if I try on server timeshift or atsc same result. Not using catchup
I just downloaded the update last night for my z11 pro max and to my disappointment the timeshift is worse now.
Before update timeshift would show zero on time bar and not work. I would cycle power off on on unit and timeshift would then work, now timeshift shows it's working, and if I rewind that's OK but when I ffwd it freezes and start over to 0.
The timeshift after this update is useless to me now. Please fix this
recording on the z10 did the same for me.
The z11 seems better in that aspect but it too has problems. These formulers are nice and powerful and would be a homerun if they could iron out all these bugs
Every time my z11 does a content refresh the z11 timeshift loses the ability to timeshift.
For now every time I have to power box off then back on to restore timeshidt.

the refresh contents is on and updating daily. For some reason it's not overwriting epg data
that doesn't explain why I have to delete epg and re update it to keep epg going.
It shows today till 23 hrs from update if you clear and update epg. After 23 hrs no more epg until I clear epg and update. I'm now doing this every day to keep a days worth of epg otherwise after a day it shows no information for everything
followed your instructions and I have no way to change to alternate.
On content sources> portal> edit portal
All I have is epg offset which is time adjustments and epg update interval I have looked everywhere for a way to change epg to alternate and its not to be found on my z11

so the z11 even refreshing epg every day will lose guide after 23 hrs. The fix is to clear and update epg and then its good for 23 hrs again
my z11 pro was fine until update to 11.2.9
Now the epg data shown for a channel is only good for 23 hours despite content refresh every day when pressing guide button and looking ahead or eventually it will say no information.
However the epg data is good and can be found for same channel by guide data for channel only for a week.
Obviously another bug.
Look at pics below. Epg data is there but z11 since update will only show 23 hrs of it on guide till it has to be epg deleted and updated.

Had same problem with a new box I set up for a friend.
Had to do a manual factory reset. The pin code wouldn't work for the reset via menu.
ok I see now in groups the atsc menu. Now what I notice is the box keeps dropping one of my favorite ota channels. Seems if I go to the channel and it doesn't work it disappears. Any ideas?
hooked up the Hauppauge dual atsc tuner.
The channels work after dl external codec for sound. How do I get to the ota channels without closing connection to my sub server? As it is now I have to close connection to iptv to go to ota.
I'm new is this normal?
yes non bookable ntfs I would have to check about the partition but the name is recognized.
if I remove sd card and just use flash drive the recordings work. Or at least they mostly work
I used the Rufus tool followed directions formatted ntfs 256gb samsung SD card.
The box tries to record but the recording kicks out. If you play with recording screen it stays on bit if you watch recording the box crashes. Using latest official update. Any ideas ?
