Always read reviews and dont get excited about buying a new tech item just because they advertise for it to be the greatest thing made by man, be patient and wait for it to be used by people and you’ll see what its up to.

If you copy a string of information you will of course get everything copied it will not leave anything behind. After that its up to you to implement it on your new box, that aint necessary just paste it and your good to go. 😉

I didn't get excited about buying this at all lol. Wanted something to replace my WDTV Live for NAS Streaming. A friend had one and told me about it and he was happy with it. Never even heard of this company or their products until then. Specs seemed to meet my requirements. But again, something as basic as a back up and restore function really should not be treated as an afterthought. This isn't too much to ask at all considering it was released in August.

As for copying information, it's not as straightforward as you make it out to be. For example, you can't simply copy everything over from an Android phone and expect all the information to be 'cloned'. There are certain areas and files that you cannot access unless the device is rooted etc. My query in this case applied to ALL files, settings & etc. Specifically the MyTVOnline2 Portal login info and whether or not there are any hidden or inaccessible files that only a firmware implemented backup function would capture. Anyway, I'll figure it out.....

If your little bit tech savvy, connect it with your laptop/computer and back it up.

Would this method also 'clone' or backup the MyTVOnline2 Portal and associated settings? I wanted to get another Z10 Pro and simply copy everything over.

I don't understand why the higher end models don't have this implemented right from the start. Backup / restore is a basic function for any device.

I purchased a BT1 remote. I got it to connect with no issues and the firmware updated version 0.5.30. I wanted to setup the volume control but I get a message that states "this feature is supported from remote v0.5.35 or higher". There appears to be a newer version of the firmware which is supposed to be part of the Z10 update but I am unable to get anything to update. The z10 software update appears to be the current version and the Remote App is at v1.2.1 but the remote firmware stays at 0.5.30. How do I force the update for the remote in order to use the volume control?

I've been using this box for a week now with no issues until yesterday. It was in standby mode and powered up on its own for a while and then shut back down. When I went to turn it on I got the "System Shutdown Initiated" message. I managed to cancel the shutdown. There was however no power interruption so I'm not sure why it behaved like that.

Since then the box will not respond to remote commands unless I unplug the IR Extension. Each time I plug the extension back in it stops responding. Is this a known issue or is there some sort of solution to this?

I tried removing the batteries from the remote but that did not solve the issue.
