I will suggest that it is something to do with the USB drivers. I record to a Synology NAS and have had no problems with playback.

This has been reported several times. There was a new Beta release yesterday, but I don't think it addressed this yet.

Better to delay and release software that is ready than to delivery buggy software sooner. I feel your frustration, but more frequent releases of sort-of-OK code is not helping anyone.

Using a VPN is always going to making the connection slower. It is encrypting and decrypting so it has to. I am using PrivadoVPN (which is NOT a recommendation) and turning OpenVPN on drops the throughput by about one third.

I have a NAS configured to store recordings on. I change some networking today resulting in it getting a different IP address (different subnet). I changed the IP but when I tried to mount it, the message "Storage with this name already exists". I added a 2 to the name and was able to mount it.

2. there are software that will autodetect advertisements and remove them to make removal easier for you.
Can you provide pointers to some?

I agree, the documentation leaves much to be desired.

I think there is a slight logic bug in the Search Results for TV Program, or an area for UI improvement. The Now Playing list shows items where date = "today" AND startTime < "now". It should only contain shows where date = "today" AND startTime < "now" AND endTime > "now". If the show has already finished, it could appear in a row above Now Playing with date = "today" AND endTime < "now". This would match the current behaviour of showing programs that have not started yet (date = "today" AND startTime > "now") in a row labeled with the date below the Now Playing row.

I will put that in the Features Request thread.

I have gotten it on the providers that I have used. Sometimes it takes several seconds to come up. It is probably a question for your provider.
It will help to know if you are using Stalker, m3u, or Xtreme Codes to connect to your provider.

Allow scheduling from search results for already aired programs: I search for a series that I want to record, but it has aired earlier or yesterday. I'd like to schedule a recording for next week when the next episode airs. Being able to schedule a recording means that I don't have to remember to schedule it later. This is useful when the provider EPG does not go for seven days.

Thanks for the quick response! The date and time are set from the network and are correct when looking at Date and Time under Device Preferences.
It is now 10:36 AM Wednesday March 22. The first in the search results is for UK TLC (I am in Canada) Mar 21 5PM. OK, that is interesting I have shows from yesterday appearing in the search results for 23-03-22. I did not expect that. I can see why that won't record. Why does it show up like that.
The rest of the shows that won't record have already been aired.
OK, I understand what is happening now. Thank you.

From a live TV channel I press the green button or OK-down to get to the search menu. I enter something to search for and look at the results under TV Program. I can click on some and set up a recording as usual. But others do absolutely nothing when I press OK. I don't think this is a provider issue as it has happened on four different providers. And it is not shows that are in the past, these are shows for tomorrow or later.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

I just tried again and it all works now, both Google Assistant and the virtual keyboard icon. Technology. Shrug.

Go to Android Settings > Apps > App permissions > Microphone
and list the apps that have microphone permissions on your device.
Also, are you using a different on-screen keyboard or are you using the default Gboard keyboard?
I have Google Play Store and Gboard under Allowed. I am using whatever virtual keyboard that came with MOL. I had not idea that it could be changed.

I am on 11.2.1. I will get logs sent later.

I have the BT1 remote and it does not crash, but it does not work either. If I click the microphone icon on the virtual keyboard it instantly puts a message (white oval with black text) "Network is disconnected". It has done this since I got it. If I click the button on the remote while the search text box is high lighted, it instantly says (voice) "Hmm something went wrong. Try again in a few seconds".
I will see if there is anything in the logs, once I find them...

I have two m3u files sitting on my NAS and I have had no problem watching the channels in them. Not sure what is wrong with your setup but in general this does work.

English only on the forum, please.
"Hello. I want a function where movies and series are divided into genres. When you go to VOD, it becomes easier to find, for example, action or comedies, dramas, etc."
That is already how it works. Maybe your provider has removed the genres?

Are you saying that is a fake remote?

These are fresh new batteries! The STB button lights up red when I press any button. Not a big deal for me, I have ordered the GTV-BT1.
-
I fixed it (for now?) by going to Settings - Network - IP Settings and selecting DHCP again. It was already selected but seems to reset something. I am still curious as to why.

I got one of the 02F9 remotes with my Z11 as a "bonus". It does not seem to do anything. The white light on the Z11 never blinks. Is there a secret to get it to connect?

This is after yesterdays big update. I am not sure if it was like this before or not, I just happened to notice it. I am assuming that this will affect recording shows.

Here is an interesting problem. The time on my Home Screen is 2-3 minutes, yes minutes, off. The time shown is earlier than the actual time. The Z11 has an ethernet connection to the network. I don't have an NTP server running on my network and every other device shows the correct time (router, NAS, TV). I did try starting the NTP server on my router and setting it to intercept NTP calls. I then restarted the Z11 and the time was still 3 minutes slow. It seems like clock drift, but the Z11 is set to use the time from the network so clock drift seems impossible. Does anyone have any ideas on where to look or what to try? I've restarted everything a few times now.
