ditto iceman i do find google play very confusing at times especially using multiple profiles
i've installed test flight on apple products iphone ipads etc so understand and have done lots of testing for software over the years but google play doesn't make it easy compared to apple thats for certain

i can get a synopsis of the program by going onto the channel and then pressing info while the program is playing i can also select right cursor to go to epg and it shows me all the programs on that channel that day with program info etc
I did want to get the info from the epg page though without going on to the channel i assume thats not possible with formuler products ? Maybe thats something they can look into for a future update.
still very new to formuler products and still learning loving it thus far its my goto iptv product
probably missing something obvious but when on the EPG how do i see the information about the program selected
On the EPG it obviously gives me the channel the time the program but can't i get info about the episode like i get on sparkle uhf etc ?
There will be an update ofcourse, i read/heard that there is no date yet from sam. But i hope it will be in this month.
I have to think they will be doing an update of sorts before christmas it might not cover all the glitches and updates people want but i think it would be good for some to be resolved. It'll be an early christmas present from formuler to their customers.

my hunch is its a nord vpn issue and thats what is stopping the z12 finding the nas or a combination of both not playing well together
I have other devices laptops tablets etc that see my network devices while the z12 doesn't see any
I may reinstall nord vpn or delete it compleatly and see if that helps but that will be for another day

I had similar issue nord vpn not connecting,but after a restart.
I contacted nord helpdesk about it and they suggested to change vpn protocol,in settings,to TCP(Open vpn),this solved the issue
i've changed it to tcp open lets see if that helps with the losing ethernet connection
the nas is still not seen so i think it is a formuler/nord vpn issue as nothing appears on my network using the z12
Both those settings are on and still nothing appears in network storage i have numerous things on the same network that other devices see while the z12 doesn't see any it seems.
i do have a nord vpn problem though as sometimes it just says connecting and i have to reboot to get it to actually connect the vpn also stops working and i don't realise until i go into the app and then it says connecting which is where i have to reboot to get it to connect.
i assume this will be solved in the fw update at some point.

yes i've just had to reboot again so its a nord vpn issue imo
if i try to connect to nord vpn it can connect but it can also just hang on the connecting screen and never connect
i then lose all internet connection and a reboot has to performed once i do that i get my internet connection back.
I am only connected via ethernet
I'm going to leave nord vpn off and will see if that helps.
If i go to network storage i and wait 4 seconds or so.
I see my nas appear. I click on it and need only add name and username en password.
Path is already good.
If you use vpn, check on z12 at vpn app that local network is detectablei don't get that option

I'd like to connect my z12 to my synology nas to record
i goto network storage select add server
my nas is the DS923
the network path is //192.168.x.xxx/volume1/IPTV Recordings
user xxxx
password xxxx
I assume the problem is the network path my ip address for my nas is correct its what comes after the ip address that i believe is the problem
To find out what i need to add after the ip address i've gone to my shared folder on my nas and selected path and it shows as volume1/iIPTV Recordings so thats what i've put
hopefully someone can point out what i'm doing wrong.

can you add the formuler z12 as a drive on a PC ?
I see plex server isn't available for the z12 and there is no smb option in the settings
I can use file manager+ where i can send files to my nas but i can't find anywhere to make the formuler z12 appear in my network.

I keep having issues with my nord vpn connection,when i check the nord app i get the message"'its taking a little longer than usual...."it takes over 10 minutes and then i decide to restart the box,resulting in connection
yes thats what happens with my nord vpn not very frequently though i'm sure the devs are looking at these pages and will update fw

The VPN problem doesn't happen very often probably happened 2 or 3 times since i've had it
the last time i noticed that iptv was black screen i checked nord vpn it just said connecting and wouldn't connect even when i cancelled the vpn connection and tried connecting again it wouldn't
i still didn't have internet after closing the vpn app down .
A reboot solved the issue so is it a vpn problem or a ethernet issue ? no idea
This is my 7+ day update since getting the z12 ultra what i like what i dislike and any problems i've encountered
what i like
Setup was quite easy the home screen is clean and is one of the reasons i prefer this to the Nvdia shield with no lag or freezing while on the home screen
i added an ex ssd drive as my recorder and that has worked flawlessly for the most part
The EPG looks and works great i've tested quite afew IPTV players recently and nothing comes close to MOL3 imo i wish other apps would learn from this.
Its so easy to record on the z12 with the remote control much easier than other apps again other apps take note.
Probably lots more i could say that i like about the z12 but those are the ones that come to mind.
What i dislike
mostly vpn related and thats about it
There is a problem with using a vpn on the z12 it causes a slowdown in transfers and sometimes it won't connect to the vpn and won't connect until i reboot the z12.
i believe once i had to reboot several times before it was resolved i am using nord vpn connected via ethernet only to a 1gb line so speed and connection shouldn't be an issue but there is.
Another little annoyance is that i can't seem to find the correct settings to connect my synology 923+ nas but thats probably a me problem rather than a z12 issue.
again i'm sure there other minor niggles i've had but none come to mind so not very important imo
I've had no random reboots or none that i've noticed i record and use the z12 multiple times a day so its been well used and is now my goto device when it comes to iptv
i don't use the other apps like plex or other streaming apps i have other devices to do that. Perhaps thats the reason i haven't encountered many problems.
As a IPTV player/recorder its worked flawlessly and i wished i'd bought a Formuler box much sooner.
My Z12 Ultra arrived last night i set it up and its working perfectly
Recordings are working well i've got a 1tb ext ssd drive connected it wouldn't recognise the drive when it was fat32 but i knew this already so just formatted it on my pc and it worked. I've also connected it via ethernet so no problems with speed as yet
I am loving mytvonline much smoother than Sparkle on the shield i've already transfered that upstairs but if the x12 works as well it has been the shield won't be used much.
The only thing i couldn't do is to attach my nas to the X12 i've put the ip address and username and password in the network section but it just refuses to connect. I am using a vpn though so i'm unsure if that would cause problems.
overall i'm a happy chap with my Z12 purchase ! famous last words lol
I have exactly the same set up as you.
Sparkle on Nvidia shield. I got a bit cheesed off with sparkle constantly forgetting my usb drive and failing to record or timeshift.
The formuler Z12 has been much better. Maybe because it records to internal storage.
I've recorded a lot over the past few weeks and have been impressed.
It has its quirks, but I just needed a decent recorder. Which it is
I've just ordered it and its due to be deliverved this evening it'll be my main player/recorder i'll have a month or so to see if i like it hopefully i will.
I'll still be using Sparkle with shield as a backup and i'll repurpose it upstairs i have it connected to my nas and recording is pretty good i just wish the box was less bloated.

i forgot to ask in my previous message how much storage does it use lets say an hr at hd just out of interest
i'm considering putting an ext ssd but what i may do is record internally if its smoother to do that and then transfer to the ssd when the int storage is getting low.
How are people finding the recording options with the Formuler z12 ?
is it as good as others or better i currently use sparkle on a shield but the shield is laggy at times and i dislike the the shields home page far too much going on
with a decent IPTV service should the Formuler z12 work well recording ?
