Weather app isn’t working properly in the launcher settings you have to toggle on and off lock current location which activates the weather widget but if you turn off your VPN no weather is displayed on the Home Screen anymore and you have to repeat the above process especially after a reboot.

Had my Z12 a few weeks now and its still randomly disconnecting from any internet connection on a very frequent basis and only a reboot fixes the issue. Its especially bad when using a VPN if you change server the box becomes unresponsive and you cannot connect again without another reboot also when you’re not connected to a VPN, the VPN menu key will still be shown and the box just hangs.
My old Z11 Pro does not behave in this manner hopefully there is a Z12 software fix coming soon to fix all these little bugs. -
my leanback launcher keeps crashing on hitting the home button
Mine crashed too yesterday while in the google play store could not get past the pop up screen.
Had to put the box in factory recover mode
in order to clear the issue definitely a bug hopefully a fix soon as a few people are suffering from it now.

Updated to latest Beta. "LeenBackLauncher" keeps crashing all the time and I cannot continue (can't do antything)...
What to do? If Reset, how do I do that (cannot access any menus 😔)
Same thing happened to me yesterday after updating to the latest beta.
Might be a bug?
I had to do this to get my Z8 working again.
Formuler Z8 - Recovery Instructions
Built-in #Factory Reset:
*Factory resetting the device will delete all user data and restore the system back to factory state.
-Remove power from the device.
-Re-insert power and rapidly press the red button on the remote.
-The front status light will start to blink red and green.
-Stop pressing the red button
-Press 1 on the remote and wait for the reset procedure to complete
-After the device has been reset, use the Update app to ensure that the latest firmware has been installed.

Then try only with Wifi... Disconnect Lan cable, set wifi, reboot and try again with update. This was in past, solution for few other user.
Thanks for the suggestion & you’re time unfortunately that didn’t work either. Looks like my only option is a full reset or wait for the official firmware release hopefully my Z8 will pick that up on release?

Try following:
1. Connect your box with LAN Cable and try again if you use WIFI now.
2. If first not help you need to do factory reset, keep in mind then is all gone and need to be set again.
Thanks for the reply.
Already connected by LAN looks like a full factory reset is in order to clear this issue.

Any update available for people stuck on Z8 beta v1.4.5 who’s boxing are no longer receiving anymore beta updates?
Do we just wait for the next stable release to clear this issue?
-
Please post a screenshot of the Update app in Beta mode.
We're aware of a possible issue, and the devs will require your screenshot data to look into it.
EDIT to add:
Please post the SW Update App version that is installed on your device.
You can check this from the Android > Apps menu
Confirming the SW Update App Version 1.0.24.
Please let us know if there is a fix available. Should l carry out a factory reset or just hold tight?. Appreciate all you’re help in this matter.

Are you not able to see the new 1.4.9 beta update inside the update app when beta mode is activated?
I have this issue my Z8 is stuck on v1.4.5
the software update app is not pulling up the last 2 beta updates. Think there are a few people with this same issue.
Done everything to fix it apart from a full factory reset. Is this issue being looked @?
