    BETA Software Update for Formuler Z12 released.

    MYTVOnline 4 v14.1.0 BETA (2)


    WARNING:

    Software cannot be rolled back after installation.


    Please keep in mind, this is Beta and could have also bugs or act unstable, it is for testing and not for productive use 24h with the box.

    If you don`t want to test, please wait until official comes out. No Forum support in other threads if beta in use, beta issues should be discussed only in this thread.

    HowTo Install:

    Home Menu -> Software Update -> press "1339" -> Red Icon and Beta Test SW appear (right corner) -> Press Red Button -> Firmware and Software are now shown, press "OK" button for install.

    The install process and reboot works automatically! Please don`t turn off the box or plug out the power supply, could damage the box. The reboot after update needs always much longer than usual, please be patient and let the box finish the install. If necessary reboot later once again.

    It's my understanding that "Developer Mode" is no longer supported by Formuler on Z12 due to security issues with MTOL4 to keep people from hacking the apk.

    What I am seeing is that if I toggle Weather Widget (without VPN) it shows up on Start Screen. If I then turn on VPN, Weather Widget goes away. I think this is OP was saying. That's how it works on my side. Doesn't matter if locked is on or off.

    Nordvpn starts automatic with booting device.

    But when i turn off Nordvpn it's still there my friend. It changes direct to my country. (West europe)

    Will try auto connect off and reboot device. Have a look if i can reproduce it.

    Oh and i have nothing done with developers options.

    Edit: after reboot and not starting nordvpn the weather widget is still giving the place and temp.

    During about ten times over the day i tried to install the beta2 update,each time with the same result,after home>SW update >press1339 nothing happens,no red block on the right lower side,simply NOTHING,anyone else having the same issue?

    I've just tried adding a new xstreams code for a trial and I get this error

    I've copy and pasted as well to make sure all details are correct but the same error appears.

    I've also tried on 2 other apps and it works fine on both of them.


    Actually forget it, cleared cache and rebooted and it's works fine now

    I dont understand i download the version beta and now all is ko... mytvonline4 dont work .

    I do a reset and now i dont have the application anymore..

    All is ok before this.

    Please help me...how can i do to download the application please

    Please do not act impulsively and simply install the new MOL4 beta if you haven't already been using Beta 1. The World Cup is currently playing and having a working box is important right now. In this case, it is better for users who haven't used Beta 1 to wait for the official version of MOL4.

    If in doubt ,do not update and wait for Official MOL4 release:winking_face:

    I initially had a problem updating, the download progress went to 100%, stuck about 30secs there and then gave a download error message. After having rebooted, it updated fine.

    As for the weather widget, that's not new, it acted like this way before the beta, it gives me the weather of a location which is 220km away from where I am. How does that widget decide where you are located? No way to add a manual location?

    I suppose the weather app uses your IP address and not your WiFi or real location. My weather is from the place of my provider hub - without VPN of course.

    Initial thoughts on the new Beta.


    Seems less buggy and a bit more smoother and more responsive.

    The settings menu is better.

    The AI search works much better now and is really quite neat, however, when it gives you a choice of movies to select from, it only keeps the synopsis of the first movie even when you move across on to the other choices.

    Same issues as others not going to home screen, but instead last live watched channel, Not able to press the back button from VOD, and the weather app thing (it's just not there on the home screen, but, I really don't care about that anyways).

    Still some of the same issues from last such as not being able to select all/none on the group management etc, and I'm looking forward to more personalisation in terms of colour schemes etc.


    All that said, I still think it's gonna be great.

    At my side the weather app is just there.

    Without vpn and with vpn.

    Im living in west Europe.

    Where do you live? Do you use vpn?

    Several people write here about the weather app not working. Have I missed something or is this little symbol in the upper right corner what you mean? For me it's completely unimportant, you can see the weather anyway. Or is there something else I've missed about the weather. Mine works with and without VPN anyway.

    That's the wheater app yes.

    I got it too.

    It is easy for me to replicate the issue with Weather Widget not displaying. Here are the steps.

    1. Turn off VPN
    2. Weather Widget displays fine
    3. Lock Weather Widget to home location in Launcher Settings.
    4. Turn on VPN, Weather Widget goes away.

    If I don't lock Weather Widget, when VPN is turned on it displays to city of VPN setting. The issue seems to be with locking. When I lock with VPN off and then turn VPN on, it disappears.

    I agree it's a minor issue.

    Beta 2 installed smoothly, weather app working fine, search much improved as are the menu fixes, date in upper tv mode corner fixed ( thanks) astc hauppauge tuner captions still a bit wacky.

    Noticing on live TV where it should read / show the frame rate like 60 fps I get ((x I use qms with z12 but I also see this on forumler 11 pro box on another tv that is not using qms, switching to say a channel with 50 fps usually gets it working again showing correctly.

    Everybody is using the language, with or without VPN. I think it makes a difference whether you're using a VPN app, or using VPN from the router. I do the latter, the weather shows as the VPN location without a problem. This is My preference. I don't care about the weather, just want to make sure I'm connected to a VPN server.

    Apart from the little bugs that everybody else has mentioned, I'm impressed with the upgrade. One thing that is an annoying she's having a good click "more" on settings menu to locate exit button from mol4. I wish exit opton was in the first column as I use it so frequently.

    Question. Power settings;

    I have been shutting down after each use. I pase I found that using standby option created HDMI issues where the box would turn off but then turn back on again intermittently. Is this still an issue?

    What kind of update is this? The box is constantly lagging; it feels like a €20 Temu box now. Why isn't there an update to Android 14? Everyone knows Android 12 sucks for TV boxes—the devs are doing a terrible job here over 2 moth for a second beta reales and than this Garbage sry don't sell boxes with this firmware
