Yes. I understood that. I tried to explain that on the Z8 the "shark app" might be a specific "fork" with a performance issue not seen on other "platforms"/"packages".
And first you say Z8 was 10, now you say 40. And it is not clear if the 102 on Mi9 is with VPN on or off. But doesn't matter much as I just tried to give some possible direction of what might cause this.
If I were you I would contact surfshark support because there is no reason why Formuler hardware/software might be the root-cause for what you see here.
Z8 get 10 with utp protocol (cable connection)
Z8 get around 40 with ikev2 protocol (cable connection)
Z8 without vpn get around 120 mb
Mi 9 get 102 mb with Vpn connect with ikev2 protocol (wireless connection)

Highly unlikely, ethernet port has 1000mbit support and for the CPU handling this amount of traffic is only a small task.
Perhaps the shark app has some performance issue inside? Did you try the VPN subscription on other devices? Linux/Apple/Windows PC/laptops? Same throughput there?
Like I already said, I have 120 mb service.
Xiaomi Mi 9 with surfshark connect with the same config of Z8 (ikev2 protocol)
Mi 9 is connect by wifi... 102 mb
Z8 is connect by cable... Around 40 mb

That difference is huge, did you experiment with multiple servers and countries? Always this bad result?
I have NordVPN on Z8, and because I liked it so much I extended the subscription to last many years when they offered a big discount on their website, which I checked daily for many weeks.
When I do the math it means I pay approx 1,70 euro per month now (max 5 devices) on NordVPN.
Speed usually up to 25MB/s per device.
I see the current biggest surfshark discount saves 82% which results in $1,79 per month. (not includes the extra privacy addon they offer for $0,89 per month)
Yes tested with several servers and the problem remains.
I only can get 50mb if I change the protocol to Ikev2.
Z8 hardware limitations?

What have the Vpn discussion to do with this Beta update? Is this Beta installed on Z8?
Btw. the vpn speed is always (no matter which update) much lower then without vpn. I have 450mbit and with Vpn Nord only 105Mbit, but this lower speed is very well known. If you doesn´t have any buffering, then is all fine. Please, post in this thread only Beta relevant discussions, tests and feedbacks. Thank you.

I don't know that VPN. Do they have free/paid/cheap/expensive subscription plans? Often cheap means low bandwidth.

The low speed only happens with the formuler Z8, with my cellphone I can get around 85 mb with the VPN on (wireless network)
