    Same issue as any other box or stick running Android >10. Chromecast 4k, xiaomi mi box 2nd, xiaomi mi stick 4k, etc only nvidia shield corrected it in a certificated box i guess...

    The problem of doing this is that you will also get a way to gain access to other system folders that you shouldn't...

    Dude, use external vpn, maybe in the router or in a windows/linux pc with vpn and share connection for the first setup. Are you using ethernet for the first setup? It might detect right away your canadian IP. Unless i'm missing something and formuler devs did a region lock detecting the power voltage where Europe uses 220v and Canada only 120v, but that's very complex for my brain, i would try the vpn method...

    But if you can't do it, do what was suggested by Jumping Rabbit, just buy the canadian version if available or contact formuler devs so they can remove that lock i guess...

    I have no such issue while scrolling through VOD or Tv Series on both MAC and XC. And that's not timeshift, timeshift is the ability to kinda record live streaming so you can go back watching something you missed, it records to the same place as normal records are stored (i use SMB local share), but when we change channel it deletes what was recorded, something like that and for me it works also on MAC and XC, while i don't use it because my provider have EPG, so when i want to watch something i've missed i go to EPG and select the live stream, it will begin the live event and then i can scroll to where i want...

    On VOD when i open any movie i can scroll to whatever timestamp i want in a matter of seconds. When i can't do that is because i need to refresh stuff, that's what my provider told me, either that or change VPN ip address...

    future outcomes are:

    1. they may decide to make a mol3 version of the gtv

    2. they could give the gtv an update to include mol3 and android 11.

    gtv always cost more so the business will have to look at the feasibility

    I sincerely doubt they can update SOC S905x2 to Android 11...

    Probably another GTV box with SOC S905x4 would be my prediction!!!

    If anyone is interested, yesterday i've updated (did backup before -Thank god), then opened mol3 and every channel was in replay mode after 1 min or so, refreshed portal, content update, epg update and same behavior. Then when night football matches were in half- time i very quickly reset everything, started from scratch, installed every app - MOL3 included (yes, needed to go to software update, insert 1339 again and install BETA MOL3, otherwise it would install old version), vpn included, disabled DNS in formuler settings, chose open vpn UDP mode, restored backup in MOL3, updated content and EPG data and things got stable, no network errors last night. Will test more this entire afternoon, specially at night because that's when sh#t starts...LOL

    1. before giving up on the box, consider waiting for the final release of the update

    beta usually have more bugs compared to the final release.

    2. switching the dns from auto to off can sometimes fix network errors depending on the cloudflare condition

    3. certain time of the year the iptv provider can become overloaded due to special event and this can cause network error.

    I'm sorry for asking, but the dns setting is important when you have a vpn? Because vpn provider has their own dns servers, so that setting is pointless or am i mistaken?

    So why sell formuler? LOL it's not like formuler devs are not aware of this network errors and will probably solve this sooner than later. Remember that this errors might solve themselves without doing anything as soon as the european football season ends... Then we will see if it was attacks or other stuff. Wait a few weeks... Use tivimate on formuler, it works and PQ is very good tbh...

    But yes, that's the error, solved for me by refreshing it manually...still after a while it returns!!! Probably your/my provider are being attacked, this blackouts are usually network attacks. Tivimate and other apps are much more optimized and probably have some instructions embedded in their code which detects this activity as attacks and reconnects quickly, usually those small black screens for less than a second we all get and sometimes only small jitter. Attenttion, i'm saying network attacks, but it can be unstable internet connection, interference, wtv...

    Network error happens to me too from time to time, if i go manually refresh portal while in the channel with the given error the channel starts to stream normally. It's solved, then you must wait 5-10min and update content from the menu because if you do right away it will probably give 401 error...

    Not sure it it helps but when i get network error i still have EPG, if i go right and select some stuff from 3 days ago it still works, so it's not provider related. It happens on both XC and MAC.

    I'm sure this is VPN related allied with MOL3 inability to quickly adapt when provider or some channel links are being attacked or change codecs which happens several times in a day...

    I already asked on features for MOL3 to have a way to always select the best possible stream instead of choosing it automatically for us...

    HLS is amazing but when providers change codecs and streams too many times a day chances are we are going to have a lot of this network errors if the iptv player can't recover that quickly and change to the best stream every time. That's why we always need to go refresh portal because MOL3 still decoding the old stream...

    I can watch everything up to 3/4 days very quickly, almost no LAG and in FHD. But yes, it's VPN or IP address related. I remember i had that error with french vpns and switzerland also, no problems in spain or italy...

    Maybe try to ask your provider to allow all ip address countries?? Or ask them why they block france and not Germany for example...

    Some new provider servers have some protection against big LAG, so connecting to a vpn server far away from your own location it will act as SPAM or harmful connection and 401 or 404 erros will appear. Just ask your provider to disable that protection against high ms and you will be fine...I'm talking about servers with > 200ms of LAG!!!

    Catch-up works fine on Z11, what are you talking about? At least when add my SMB server on network settings i can record and catch-up to whatever HDD i have. Not sure about USB because USB needs some permissions and Android 11 have those permissions disabled and this new A11 boxes&sticks need to have an explorer app acting like a system app that can give read and write rights to protected folders like USB disks and Android folder...

    But formuler devs need to be careful here, because that way you will probably be able to access some stuff you shouldn't if you know what i mean...

    Either way you just need to have a NAS or computer with SMB server enabled (probably need to enable SMBv1 on windows - not sure) and in formuler own network settings you can add that disk and it will appear on MOL3 when you set up catch-up in settings and recording also. I've tested and works, it will create a folder on that disk and will use it as cache for catch-up and it will store recordings there...

    The current automation allows for setting up an EPG refresh and contents refresh, however, it only refreshes in the background and for the changes to take reflect requires the manual intervention of the customer who will need to click on refresh contents via the menu button.

    Can we please have complete automation where at the scheduled time the whole refresh takes place without the customer needing to click refresh contents

    Exactly what i think, this is probably what's giving those 401 and 404 erros, because it communicate with the server twice in few minutes, first automatically and then obviously when we do it manual it will communicate again and some provider servers will detect it as Spam or something harmful...

    I always avoid refreshing it manually, i know it refresh contents every time we open it, because when we refresh it manually i usually start having those nasty errors and now i can add another one, which is network error on the channel but if i go right to the EPG i can open it and watch the live stream like we open stuff from yesterday and then scroll near the end without going to the very end or it closes...And then after being there awhile when i return to the channel stream is OK...

    This 401 and 404 erros are probably provider related. Every server has counter measures to avoid being hacked and when they see too many attempts of connection in a short time those measures are activated and will be in place for 30min or even 1 hour, after that no more erros of such kind unless you do the same again,,,

    Now the media codec exception and network error are different and i assume it's due to the choosing of the stream being made by MOL3, since there is no option to select the best possible quality stream it will select automatically and sometimes it can be an error...Mostly because with MAC portals providers send 3/4 streams for the same channel and sometimes those streams have different codecs and MOL3 might not be ready to handle all of those streams at once, but it's just speculation...

    Probably because nvidia marketed nvidia shield's as plex media server box so probably when nvidia devs update firmwares they actually care about plex enough to test it and make it ready to use in most cases, but if you go to "n" forums you will see how many bugs plex has on nvidia shield.

    Use Kodi for now and probably disable audio passthrough, from my experience kodi is more stable that way on z11...For me the only problem with Kodi is that it doesn't respect the resolution i'm in, if i have auto frame rate enabled it changes from 1080p to 4k and for 1080p movies that's stupid because it will waste z11 resources for nothing...but for 4k movies kodi is good enough on z11 as is the only one for me that it will do 23HZ and 24HZ correctly with AFR enabled, pitty it changes 1080p movies to 4k making z11 do the upscale...

    But MOL3 does it better, so in Z11 if you want to watch movies/series use MOL3 VODS from your provider as it will play FHD movies in the resolution you choose in settings. For the rest you better use nvidia shield, a fire stick or something else if you don't like Kodi on Z11, but at least try...

    I don't understand your issues with EPG. I mean, Z11's MOL3 can do it at a specific time (aka content and EPG update) and then you just need to refresh it and everything works. My EPG is always spot on, but it needs to be updated every day maybe?? Not sure, i know i'm doing it every day, that's what my provider told me to do...

    The only issue i have is sometimes i open a channel and i get network error, then i go to EPG and start the live stream, scroll to the end and stay there for a bit, then exit and channel works...That's the only kind of bug i've encountered on this BETA so far...And i did what SAM said, backup, reset box, clean data and cache on MOL3, etc...

    I have a problem/issue with my provider after this BETA update, meaning everything works, it loads channels, EPG , VOD, etc, then some channels open right away, but others do not open, instead i get a black screen and network error, this happens in both MAC and XC. You may ask why i know it's a formuler error/bug? Because in the same channel if i go right to EPG and choose to start the live stream it opens the stream, then i scroll to the end and i get almost live stream, i stay for a bit and then when i exit epg and return to channel it opens the channel, problem is if i change to another channel the network error returns.

    I did everything already, reset box and mol3, changed vpn settings from wireguard to openvpn, dns on formuler from auto to off, and things get better? maybe placebo and after awhile network error again.

    Refreshing portal helps only in the channel we are at the time of refreshing, after changing to another channel the network error returns...

    I'm not sure if it helps, but on other iptv apps we can choose the stream quality and change it from "auto" to "best available". i've noticed that when it's on auto on several iptv apps i have issues and when it's on "best available" less issues...

    On MOL3 we should be able to choose stream quality on a specific channels or on all channels (almost all providers have it). My provider has 3 streams of the same channel (SD/HD/FHD/sometimes4k). Yet the "SD" channel could probably be streaming in FHD and the FHD streaming in SD and sometimes while in the same channel i see the resolution changing from FHD to HD or SD. Not sure if i'm making any sense...

    Too many things can be happening, but i'm almost sure something is wrong when i open channel, probably formuler decoder doesn't know which stream to open and on EPG as it opens with different decoder (i've noticed media player is different on EPG) it gets the only resolution available on EPG and then when returning to the main channel probably the live decoder used the same quality that was on EPG. But again, i'm just speculating from my own experience...

    PS: This behavior is new, meaning i got network errors in the past with previous FW, but i could never open EPG on that channel either...

    since you try all image settings then it could be an issue with the firmware or hardware.

    Not MOL related. Everything on z11 looks reddish! I don't think it's hardware related, it's clearly software related, i'm not new to this stuff, im not returning the box because colors look reddish, this is ROM related, it needs to be fixed and im almost sure it will be fixed as soon as devs let us choose "50" on image settings, because "50" is neutral. It defaults to "51" and the previous value is "49", plain and simple, 51 gives the reddish tone and when all at 49 you get blue tone...Neutral is the way!!

    Already did, no change! Switched hdcp 2.2 to 1.4, no change, tried different image settings but everything i do there correct something and blow other stuff in the color department...

    For example, last Barcelona vs Real Madrid match, i watched the match without breaks and without errors and most of the match when in game looks good, colors are correct until there is a goal and they focus players, some players got red face treatment, and supporters is worst, looks like they are with an imminent stroke or they were on the beach without protection. It looks wrong, but overall when there is green and blue things are fine, red levels are all over the place and as i said, everything else connected on my tv are fine, colors are correct, only z11 has this issue...already used 3 different hdmi cables (the ones i used with shield, isp box and mi box) and there is always this red tone everywhere on the z11 box, i can't get rid of it...

    I have tested on 2 Tv's. One Sony, one samsung, same problem...

    Other example, on a cartoon channel watching bugs bunny, carrots look red on z11,but they are fine on shield and mibox s... And the weird is all other colors are OK. Greens, blue, greys, black...only white is a bit "not white", but snow is full white and on live matches teams with white shirts are fine, full white, problem is mainly on faces and the absence of orange and pink...

    I need someone to clarify me why image settings are all at 51. Colors look wrong. if i change to 49, it looks wrong. If i change on tv even worst. I have nvidia shield and mi box and there is no problems. The issue is more noticeable on faces (tone is red) and pink or orange objects are red. Whites are not entirely white.

    I have z11 with 1080p 60HZ Ycbcr 444 8bits. If i change to Ycbcr 444 10 bits things get a bit better but not entirely correct. I think this would be solved if on image settings we were able to put it all at 50...I'm not sure why there is no neutral values.

    Things got worst with the last updates, not sure which one, but this HDCP 2.2, HDR adaptative, so many settings i'm lost, but some neutral colors got lost...and now it looks weird. I have no errors with my provider, but with these colors i can't watch anything :neutral_face:

    Am i the only one with this problem? Already did factory reset. This happens on all aps on z11. On movies and series it's not so noticeable, but sometimes when someone is dressed in red, faces are red...

    How can i access the ssd from another device (ipad or pc over the same network) to watch the recordings ?

    i hear you but you could probably do the opposite. Don't you have a computer or NAS always on and connected in the same network? If yes you just need to make a samba server on it. Almost all new NAS come with samba server capabilities at least, then on formuler you can mount it and use it for recording and timeshifit!!!

    I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish here. You have usb ssd connected to another device in your house and want to share it with formuler? If they are in the same network that's possible. But you say you have no router and....i'm lost. LOL

    Usually you have formuler connected to wifi or ethernet in your home network and any device in the same network can share whatever you want with formuler... That's the way!!!

    Updated here, did backup, no need for now, everything is working fine, every channel opened without errors, vod series everything opened, didn't watch any episode till the end but everything i opened it loaded quickly and without issues, posters ok, backgrounds ok, vod movies also OK...

    EPG is there, i can see EPG for this day, not the next OFC, was never able to do it on MOL3 i guess, never needed, EPG from 7 days works...well, let's see if tonight is everything ok :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: now i need to go work -.-

    PS: outside MOL3 everything seems like before, main issue is i can't get plex to output true 23.976HZ with AFR enabled...And it always changes to 4k even for movies with FHD/HD/SD resolution... Kodi is fine!!!

    That's something you should have said in the first comment, as i said , to get help you need to tell everything and you told the story with huge holes on it. How could anyone have helped you? Imagine if someone opened the box to see if the ram was OK...LOL

    I can confirm some iptv traffic was affected last night... Wireguard alone is not to blame, wireguard protocol is safe, so when it sees harmful stuff he blocks. Wireguard can't be blamed for iptv provider servers are constantly being attacked by who knows...And it's getting worst, they (iptv providers) need to find a way to get better security so the attacks they suffer won't alert their customers own security aka Wireguard protocol. Like i've said, with open vpn i was able to play all the channels without the black network error, but as iptv providers are being attacked, on their end some channels were freezing all the times and that was on every device i have, not only formuler...

    We customers need to ask providers to upgrade their security protocols and get better firewalls, but this will come at a price, iptv subscriptions will go up and...you guess!!!

    1) after factory reset it starts and it installs the update I have no possibility to stop the process.
    2) I am connected to the Internet by cable
    I tested in WiFi and by cable it is always the same problem.
    3) after updating it installs mol3 direct.
    4) I bought it at least November 2022 but only used it for 15 days.
    5) as explained on my first message I bought it on the internet but in the delivery box there was no invoice and suddenly my seller does not answer my calls.
    6) the power supply was changed by another one from a friend who has the Z11 and still the same problem nothing changes.
    7) I've used youtube and disney+ and also amazon and the image it streams as if it's super slow motion.


    What's the resolution in settings on your tv? Do you have AFR enabled on MOL3? If not, enable just in case. But just try to see what resolution do you have in settings, and if you can, change it to 1080p 60HZ and color to Ycbcr 444 or 422...

    Did you change your HDMI cable? Did you try other device on the same TV? Did you try formuler on another TV with different HDMI cable? List goes on, but i still think if it's on every video you watch it could probably be video connection related...i'm still not convinced that's RAM, because it can start the box, it can load and install apps like you said, so RAM is also needed in that process, RAM is not only used to cache video, it's also used on app installation and other stuff...

    I would test that formuler on another TV or PC Monitor with a different HDMI cable also... But it's weird...the seller stuff...Didn't you buy it from a legit online store?
