Think he might be wondering if it's going to keep getting the security updates or is this box abandoned now . If that's the case seams bad since the shield is still getting updates.

When I've tried. If I set it to what it needs to be then it's fine . If it's on adaptive it doesn't work

I have issues with Stremio on the Z12.
Every time I attempt to play things that play quite nicely on Nvidia, the box reboots.
It will eventually play but it's not great.
It's a switching issue which is yet to be fixed my box may get returned and back to Nvidia if it's not sorted soon

Stremio is also installed and working well...so far.
It's connected to a Denon AVRX2200 Amp and into a TCL 845 65 inch TV.
Is your box switching when plaing DV and HDR stuff on stremio

I haven't looked more into this yet, but I think H.265 is (part of) the problem.
It's very random. Sometimes it switches to dv and sometimes it doesn't. If it does it either shows a black screen orbit just doesn't play but you can skip forward but it doesn't play. If you manually set it then it plays

Z12 Ultra will not play HDR and Dolby Vision streaming from a Win 11 computer. Video doesn't start. FF 30 seconds just show a freezed picture. Known problem?
The box has a switching issue. Try manually setting it to dv or HDR or hlg. It will play fine. Switching automatically causing issues

I've the same issue. If I manually set the display mode and not let it switch itself it works fine. But if it's set to adaptive it gets confused. Sometimes it locks the box up completely and needs turning of and on again . This was tested with Plex , stremio and syncler.

I'm currently in contact with a Formuler employee, and the problem is being looked into. I have three Z12 Ultras myself, all three with the same problem.
Hope this issue gets sorted soon or it will be returned. Apart from the switching issue I can't find any other faults

Wired on this box is crap . Try with static IP if that doesn't help use WiFi

I bought one and it died within a week. Probably best to try it on a pc and see if it's picked up. If not it's duff like mine. Get a refund and wait for the next update as it should have the tenda u12 drivers installed

As we will have updated the 8812AU drivers, this adapter may work when the official firmware update is released.

The engineers added the drivers, but we don't have this adapter at our offices, so there was no way to test if it works or not.
We were hoping it would just work without issues, but it seems that there needs to be some extra intervention to get the adapter to function properly.
If you have a linux machine and can provide the lsusb output when the adapter is plugged in, it could help us narrow down the issue.
Otherwise, we would need someone to mail us their adapter to look into it into more detail.

Is this something that we might see soon? I get that timeshifting content that's 4k is probably beyond the capabilities of the hardware, but most of the IPTV content is 1080p or less anyway. Could the system be coded to allow for timeshifting based on the resolution of the content rather than the resolution of the connected TV?
Asking because I get a much smoother experience when I have the resolution set to 4k. It's still lower resolution content so the picture isn't any different, but in any of the sub-4k resolutions I get occasional stutter in picture, especially when the camera pans horizontally. I don't know if it's my TV or the Z7+ tho. I've tried the various refresh rates and it doesn't seem to make a difference, but in 4k the problem disappears.
Anyway, I hate having to choose between timeshifting and a good viewing experience.

I received the USB3 adaptor today. Purchased for £7.99 from Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DDRVM2Q).
I only watched the England match this evening, so it's too early to form an opinion if it has improved things.
Although I didn't get any buffering on TSN throughout the match but on other channels I had the odd buffering/loading.
Note: I also updated the software to the latest formuler beta earlier so maybe those 'bug fixes and general improvements' may help!
For me, the main test will be at the weekend to see how the Sky F1 channels hold up.
i`m after a usb adapter, is this a good one to buy ?

I have both mag and m3u, The way VOD is sorted on M3U isnt as good as it is on MAG, only a small issue but the reason i use it is coz of flexibility
