Yesterday before diner i setup a recording. Serie of 45 minutes.
Hdmi cec is always off.
I saw it started recording. So i only turn off tv and box stays on. went downstairs for diner.
Came back and recording was stopped after 4 minutes.
Next time i leave tv on and check again.

See formuler forum whem update is arrived and then order Z12 again? Maby is that an option for you.

I increasingly noted an increase in switching channels time (fast zapping in last viewed channels) running into several seconds on my z12,i returned to my z11 and the switching is much faster (msec)Did anyone else also noticed this?

Ik have the z12 now 3 days and Its connected to a Samsung tv only with Hdmi and via a wifi connection. .
No problems untill now.

Yes,when you turn off to go to sleep,choose last channel viewed,and put the box on standby.You have to set mol3 as startup app,and in the morning at start of box this channel will be starting live tv

What is it and where do I find it?

Setting up mol3 as starting app you do so in launcher settings.
When you watch a number of channels after each other,you can go by short press back button,to an overview of last watched channels,you can choose in there the last channel viewed,and put your box to standby/turn off.the next day when you start your box,the last viewed channel,will be your starting live channel

Just tried the beta. Profile 7 files are now just playing as plain hdr (not dv)

Yes, that is the intended fix.
Previously profile 7 files ended up in black screen.
Other boxes (like nvidia shield) also converts the profile 7 files to HDR.

But I see that you received another response, so that's something already
If the passthrough for HD audio formats is hardcoded into the firmware (we can dream :p), maybe I'll buy it again one day, but if not, I'll pass on this generation.

Try small movies. Between 4gb and 1gb.
How higher the gb, how slower they load. So much people that it use. It’s to slow and to many users

In stremio I can watch a programme with a small file size, say 180mb and it jumps and stutters all the way through.
I use Debrid service so there are very short if any loading times, it just won't play certain files where Nvidi shield will.
I then tried a 4k HDR movie at 19gb and it loaded and played fine

Do you use a VPN on the box? I do the same as you and have no issues with large movies streaming via streamio.. You can DM what you're trying and I can test.

I can now enjoy all streaming portals such as Prime Video, Apple TV, Paramount+ and Disney+ in Dolby Vision and Atmos.Thank you very much for the update.

It's the same with or without vpn
So nothing is “cached” on the debrid or torbox services. You’ll need to wait until it’s on their server before it can stream smooth.

It's on the Debrid server that I use.
It loads instantly but stutters all the way through.
Same thing on Nvidia works perfectly

So I’ve had my z12 ultra the last few weeks and love it. Such a huge upgrade from my 4k max Firestick.
One question though, my weather app works but gives me some random location. I live in London uk so how do I get it to display the proper town rather than some random place. I don’t have a vpn at the moment although I have a subscription with NordVPN so will probably install that soon.

I have nordvpn as well,for UK you can choose 4 cities (including London),this should make your weather app more reliable.

Ok I will try that and see if that works. I have it on my iPhone and have it set to London uk and it works perfectly fine
