When I previously set up another universal remote
Do you still have the universal remote in your posession?
When I previously set up another universal remote
Do you still have the universal remote in your posession?
Does it seem like it switches back to box mode after a certain period of time or after a certain sequence of button presses?
Any pattern?
Turn off transcoding in Plex
You can set the startup app in the Launcher Settings.
The app you select as the startup app will need to be able to play a list of videos and photos in a loop.
3rd party app recommendations are outside the scope of support on these forums.
Search google and ask Gemini/ChatGPT for suggestions.
One keyword you may find useful in your searches is "kiosk"
I have tried that but it just starts recording, I have no way of stopping it, without doing it manually
If I press on no information on the programme guide, it just takes me back to the tv show
I can find no way of doing a timed recording
Go into the Program Guide.
Move the cursor position to the right so the future time slot is highlighted.
Press OK.
I have the standard remote control
You can use the IR learning mode to program the "TV Control" buttons at the top of the remote to control your AVR (instead of your TV).
It isn't possible to configure the standard remote using the Remote app.
Hi, thanks for the reply.
I’m using the bt remoteIs there a way to send the signal to my avr (onkyo RZ series). It’s connected through arc
Thank you
Hello, yes, you can control the volume of the AVR with your Formuler BT remote.
Please open the Formuler Remote app on your Formuler's home screen and select the BT1 remote from the first screen.
After that select the "Volume Control" menu and follow the steps to program your Formuler's Volume buttons to control the AVR volume.
Please note you need to adjust the Android system volume so it is level with your AVR volume because you won't be able to change the Android system volume using the volume buttons on the remote after switching to AVR volume control mode.
Which player are you using to play the files in question?
Did you try another player app?
It is working as intended. When Surround sound is active the box passes through the audio stream to the TV or AVR. The TV or AVR is responsible for decoding the audio stream and therefore the volume must be controlled from those devices.
You should program your Formuler remote to control the TV volume as it will be more convenient than switching remotes all the time.
Do you have the IR remote (basic) or BT1 remote (bluetooth?)
It may happen if Google components have been updated in the background
My tv model is this one :
Thanks for the additional info. It will be forwarded to the team for further analysis.
Your original TV remote is most definitely a BT remote (unless you purchased an aftermarket fake remote). However the remote appears to be unpaired from your TV for whatever reason and it has fallen back to IR operation mode.
To re-pair your TV remote to your TV:
in the TV menu (not Formuler menu):
Settings > Bluetooth Remotes & Accessories menu > highlight the Pair Accessory option and press OK to start a search for accessories.
Press and hold the Home and Back/Return buttons on the TV remote simultaneously until the LED on the remote starts to blink, then release the buttons. That means the remote is in pairing mode.
Try to clear EPG cache and reload the EPG.
To answer the question: No, Z11 Pro Max is not discontinued.
Maybe the dealers in your region have stopped stocking the IR remote variant in favor of the BT remote variant.
Thanks for the photos of the TV remote. Will forward it to the team to check about the codes.
it is not a Bluetooth remote controller.
Can I ask how you came to this conclusion? Google Assistant requires the microphone on the remote to be functional and this can only be accomplished using Bluetooth connectivity.
Original cat 6 cable, tested with 2 different brand new ones. The problem is also on Wifi. So it shouldn't be the cable.
Find out why the ping is so high. If you fix the ping the speeds will improve.
Let me rephrase. Can you share a photo of your TV remote?
Just tried a peculiar live feed and recording on the same feed that crashes the API VideoDecoder on Formuler Z10 Pro Max.
After trying to open the feed on MOL2 can't watch any kind of videos/livestreams anymore until a reboot is performed.
Here is a recording test for you guys.

Are you aware of any app or other device that can play the stream without crashing?
Display MoreHello,
The database update is still expected for Q1 ?
I have a Panasonic mx700 and no code is working (I confirm its an IR remote, not BT)
Could you check if it will be added please ?
Thanks a lot
Can you share a photo of your remote?
Very interesting and amusing thread. The creativity displayed by this community always astounds me.
One fundamental question I would like to ask to people who have issues with the current LED brightness is:
How are you able to see the LED in the first place? The Z mini is designed to be installed behind the TV, out of sight.
With that said, in the future there should be a possibility to dim or turn off the White LED. I'm not sure about the Red one. Also unsure about the release timeframe.
Interesting. Useful to know.
Stalker is no longer used by many providers now as most lean to XC, in my case all use XC so if it can be implemented for that, it would be excellent.
Stalker can send addressed messages to specific clients from the panel or global messages.
Messaging can only be implemented in the XC client (MOL3) if the server API (XC) supports it first.
If you have evidence of the existence of messaging API in XC please DM me.
Temporarily remove the HDMI selector box from the device chain. Connect the Formuler directly to the TV and test again to isolate the issue.
Sometimes IPv6 can cause issues. Make sure it is turned off if you don't absolutely need to use it.
I’d like to see the ability for those who provide configs to send messages to their users device.
Full appreciate users are notified of expiry etc but there’s occasions where a provider needs to send additional information and a quick message would be perfect.
Third party apps allow this feature but It would be excellent for this on MTOL.
You can already do this using Stalker.
No discussion about providers. Use google or get a referral from a friend.
I just tried connecting my old Z8 to do a test. Here is the difference between the 2.
The ping is too high on the z11. Make sure you're not using any VPN on the Z11 when doing the test.
Check your network configuration on the Z11 or reset the network settings and try again.
I don't use VPN, and I measure speed with an app. I've had speeds on my Formuler that matched my PC.
After looking at your original post's photos again, it is remarkable that the upload speed on your Z11 Pro is measured at 702Mpbs which is close to the theoretical max speed. The download speed looks capped however.
Another insight is the ping to your speed test server on the Z11 is very bad: 285ms. This value should be sub-10ms or less than 50ms. Try to change the testing server location to one that is closer to you.
If you're using a web browser to measure the speed the measurement will never be correct.
Using a VPN will always slow down the measured speed.
Use an app like analiti to measure the speed.
Finally, the speed achieved on your sub $200 Formuler will never match the speed on a PC that costs many times more and has much higher performance.
In the Live TV section, play a channel in portrait mode.
Drag the video window down and PiP will start.
Sleep timer function on the device itself. Now I can only use the sleep timer in MOL3; if I am using a different app, such as Netflix, I cannot make the device shut down automatically after a certain time.
Try to check the Android system screen saver options. Maybe there is something there that would fit your needs.
Unplug the IR extension cable from the device and try again.
Make sure you're pointing the remote directly at the front of the Formuler
Thank you. Backed up. Deleted MOL3. Reinstalled. Restored. Issue of channel playing briefly then spinning for 30 seconds before resuming remains on many channels.
Sounds like a provider issue or ISP throttling issue.
Temporarily connect your Formuler's wifi to your phone's wifi hotspot and check the channels again to see if there is a difference and report back.
I am a proud owner of Z mini. I have been using a BT headphone allthese days but now the BT is not working.Any advice please.
Make sure the headphones are not paired with another device (like your phone). Temporarily turn off BT on your phone and try again
or
Unpair and re-pair the headphones on the Z mini.
Usually new devices are not announced until just before they are sold in the market.
Try using a different DNS provider like Quad9.
Settings > Network & Internet > Private DNS > Private DNS provider hostname > Quad9
I've noticed that my streams have been buffering/stuttering a little recently, and has gotten progressively worse to the point I can't watch anything. A lot of the box sets buffer like crazy too.
I use the same subscription on a few devices, I have the free mytvonline app on my phone and it's seamless, I also use a cheaper box occasionally in another room with a generic free app and that's also showing no issues so I don't think it's an internet issue.
I'm on 12.1.21
If you're using wifi on your Formuler check the signal strength reported on the box to see if it is optimal.
Update on z11pro. Made the brightness horrible. Everthing is very dark now. Im changing preferences in display to adjust. Idk what changed but I can't use auto anymore. Frustrating when every few updates has some sort of bugs. I don't have time to search forums. I always send logs. Please try to fix.
The update can't affect the brightness. You must have messed up some other settings on your TV.
