  • Hi there

I can’t seem to find the correct settings for Dolby atmos.
When I set the settings to auto, Dolby atmos appears in the onkyo menu, but then I have to use the tv remote to set the volume, instead of the formuler remote.
When I use the don’t use surround sound option, I have no Dolby atmos. So what do I do wrong here? Any suggestions?

It is working as intended. When Surround sound is active the box passes through the audio stream to the TV or AVR. The TV or AVR is responsible for decoding the audio stream and therefore the volume must be controlled from those devices.

You should program your Formuler remote to control the TV volume as it will be more convenient than switching remotes all the time.

Do you have the IR remote (basic) or BT1 remote (bluetooth?)

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

    I’m using the bt remote

Is there a way to send the signal to my avr (onkyo RZ series). It’s connected through arc

    Thank you

Hello, yes, you can control the volume of the AVR with your Formuler BT remote.

Please open the Formuler Remote app on your Formuler's home screen and select the BT1 remote from the first screen.

After that select the "Volume Control" menu and follow the steps to program your Formuler's Volume buttons to control the AVR volume.

Please note you need to adjust the Android system volume so it is level with your AVR volume because you won't be able to change the Android system volume using the volume buttons on the remote after switching to AVR volume control mode.

I have the standard remote control but there is no "Volume Control" function.
Checked for BT1 but did not see that "Volume Control" was there.
Does BT1 have to be connected to see the function.
Are you able to take a screenshot so I can see what it looks like.
    Thinking about buying BT1.

You can use the IR learning mode to program the "TV Control" buttons at the top of the remote to control your AVR (instead of your TV).

It isn't possible to configure the standard remote using the Remote app.
