Just ask the provider for Xtreme Codes Api Setup:

Xtreme Codes Api Setup is almost same like Portal, the only difference is you don`t need to register MAC/ID but you have to insert login data (username and password). Provider gives you directly this data or it is shown in Dashboard from your subscription. Let`s assume provider give you data for example: "http://xtremec.com:1111" or "http://xtremec.com", username:11111 and password:22222.
Portal Nickname (example): XC_A
Portal URL: "http://xtremec.com:1111"
Is the login required?: yes, please activate.
Username: 11111
Password: 22222

Unfortunately, it's not just this number : mine is different and is also defective.
There are more than the few reported here.
I am sure others with this issue would have returned it as faulty with their retailer.
Formuler would have also contacted their stockist to check for faulty GTV

It would be great if Netflix would give this device there certification in the future! But for now i'm very happy.

How much recording are you going to do / keep will help you decide what size storage you need.
Connect it to USB 3 port - so get a compatible storage device.
You should be able to choose from memory sticks to ssd drive m2 with an enclosure.
Assuming above is for IPTV, you could find a provider with 7 day catch up meaning you won't need to record.
Really useful on weekends with live sports overlapping.

Is there no way to download it from the Formuler market guys?
Maby you can find it there the formuler update app and many it needs tot updated?
Major GTV software updates were ready before these boxes went on sale.
This is why the first update does a factory update to new software.
Sadly some GTV have faulty software which does not get this OTA update like the box Damien has.
He should ask for replacement from his seller.

Except that this application does not exist, never, even after reset, nor in the system applications (Home> Settings> Apps> See all apps> Show system apps).
I don't know where Formuler is based, but they haven't been responding for hours...
It seems that the app you are looking for gets installed after the first fresh install the GTV does after update notifications.
Give this a try,
Reset to factory setting and restart the initial setup.
Next wait for the notification to update - see the following video on youtube - watch for notification @ 10.20 minutes into the video

I'm having the same problem.
Been busy for days with the Formuler Support to get the firmware/software installed.
The Formuler Support is very cooperative but still no solution
Please try the following - you have several times but worth another go.
Reset to factory setting,
Search Youtube video Formuler GTV: Factory Reset | MYTVONLINE2
Then update any firmware available to latest software - this might as noted in video listed in post 1, do a fresh install of system software.
If you are still having an issue, I would request a replacement as there may be a problem with the recover image in your GTV.

I am unable to update the software of my GTV. By the "Update" application, it always indicates "check failed! Check your OTA service agent".
And I have major "Mytvonline 2" malfunctions (crash, ...).
Anyone in the same situation?

Follow Sam's advice first - update the box first. This will do a fresh install of the software.

Let's hope that in future all certified Android boxes / TV's / devices have official app support and are not dropped because of lazy programmers not making sure the updates are coded correctly.

I think the expectation from video maker was to high and i can hear him really suffering. The point is, the GTV is new box with Android OS and not AOSP like Z Series, there are differences. How ever, the future updates will bring some features that are not included yet.
Agreed. MYTVOnline 2 has been getting awesome features which I will be able to experience on the Z8 pro I was lucky to win the November draw

Adding to danny121pt's post, would expect all methods on other certified android tv boxes to work.
Seen many guides to side load on android tv boxes.
All streaming companies like Netflix, Now tv , BBC iplayer, ITV hub etc will have certified apps - so expect full support.
Would like to see a thread on here for users who have customised their GTV to post screen shots.

Z7+5G was my box of choice after cheap boxes all claiming latest specs on hardware and os.
Formuler support for this box with software updates and MyTvOnline being the best app for IPTV.
The forum is also a good place to learn and get help.

That is the difference between android 7 and android tv - google assistant is built into the os.

GTV hardware specs seem the same but different operating system.
Based now on Android TV certified by Google, so official optimised apps for TV streaming.
Include voice commands via mic on remote.
All other Formuler boxes were modified Android mobile os for streaming.
Guess there will be newer devices with better hardware going forward under Android TV but not using modified Android os
