What should I pay attention to when setting up GTV?

    It seems that the app you are looking for gets installed after the first fresh install the GTV does after update notifications.

    Give this a try,

    Reset to factory setting and restart the initial setup.

    Next wait for the notification to update - see the following video on youtube - watch for notification @ 10.20 minutes into the video

  • I can see what is happening on the video you indicate, but I never got it.

    I have already done many resets. I waited each time, but no GTV update notification ever appeared.

    I also tested with a mobile connection, and also on another connection at a friend's house (with reset each time). It doesn't work in any case.

    I seem to have defective GTV hardware. So, I'm waiting for a solution from Formuler.

  • Is there no way to download it from the Formuler market guys?

    Maby you can find it there the formuler update app and many it needs tot updated?

    Major GTV software updates were ready before these boxes went on sale.

    This is why the first update does a factory update to new software.

    Sadly some GTV have faulty software which does not get this OTA update like the box Damien has.

    He should ask for replacement from his seller.:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

    So today I'm going to buy a second Formuler GTV. If all goes well I wil receive it tomorrow and we will see if that one will update the firmware.

    And the installation on the new device with the latest firmware/software went flawless. :smiling_face:

    So we all know now that there is something wrong with several devices.

    Well, I got a response from Formuler : they finally recognize that the GTV is faulty, and just offer to deal with the seller for a replacement. No other solution.

    So be careful if you buy a GTV... :frowning_face:

    It means that you should contact the seller to arrange return of faulty unit.

    This is true for any product you buy.

    The seller will return to the company they brought from or will have the tools to repair.

    No its`not, known are only this two cases. Please don`t panic so fast because such issues can happen on all other devices too.

    Sam is right.

    All devices will have faulty units which you return and get it exchanged.

    Formuler tech support did all they can to try to fix the issue and sometimes the device needs to be sent back.

  • Just a little update for people whom Formuler GTV will not do the firmware/software update to get the MyTVonline2 App running fine.

    It seems that there is a problem with a few Formuler GTV's with the PN number "CBGTV2020801424" (see backside GTV or packing)

    Formuler ask me to confirm if my GTV has that PN number. And Yes mine has.

    I'm going to contact the seller to replace it.

    Because I bought a second Formuler GTV on which the firmware/software update went flawless I have to say i'm enjoying this one very much!

    The native Android TV Apps like Amazone Prime, Disney and some Dutch TV app's are working great and giving me a much better user experience then my Z8.

    It would be great if Netflix would give this device there certification in the future! But for now i'm very happy.

  • i have the same problem with my Formuler GTV. No updates available after a reset.

    My serial number is CBGTV2020801472.

    So maybe they have a batch of Formulers that are not working.

    Surely. We are already 3 here, not counting all the people who have not found this forum, or not asking here...

    Don't waste time with Formuler support, they won't be able to do anything for you. Ask the seller for a replacement.

  • Unfortunately, it's not just this number : mine is different and is also defective.

  • If it wasn't already obvious, the PN and SN listed on your device is a unique number.

    No one else has the same PN as you. Stop spreading false and inflammatory information.

    If some devices after purchase and setup doesn`t work like they should, please contact your seller and replace the device.

    Place for rumours or false informations are not welcome, some users should think little bit about the way how they discuss.
