You’re not reading the guide properly...

Of course these settings are still here. All you need to do is to press Menu button on your Z8 remote when you are in full screen mode on any channel in MyTvOnline2 > then go to « Connections » menu on the left panel (NOT « Settings » !!) > click on your portal > « Edit » and then change the EPG Settings as mentionned until you find the correct timing

And regarding the EPG that has programs never played on the channels, it happens a lot these days due to coronavirus reschedulings. Many channels in the world haven’t updated their EPG for weeks and are playing programs that were obviously not scheduled in the EPG.

Yes it was a box with old FW so when i turned on the box, the software update should be there a red ballon showing that exists a new FW available

No ! The « new software red notification icon » feature has been added in the first bêta version (released on November 1st). So if your Z8 still have the previous official firmware, it won’t get the notification as this feature disn’t exist in this firmware. It has been added in the new bêta updates.

In the previous firmwares, you had to check yourself in « Software Update » whether there was an update available or not.

Any word on this? Is anyone else facing this issue? I've tried 2 programs and they both have the same problem. Maybe I will try to explain it better -

In the VOD section, I have a group called Hindi TV Series. One of the programs that airs daily is Aladdin, and the the service provider places these daily telecasts in the VOD section-Hindi TV Series group. I marked Aladdin as Favorite and it shows up in the Favorites group of the VOD. The last episode number of Aladdin when I marked it as a Favorite was 154. On the next day, the last episode in the Favorite section's Aladin tile is still 154, while the last episode in the Hindi TV Series group for Aladdin is 155. The Favorite group tile doesn't get updated at all with the recent episodes since marking it as a Favorite. All previous episodes all exist in the Favorite group.

I also have a Dreamlink T2 for the same service provider and that also has a Favorite group. Similar actions on the T2 box work and the Favorite sections Aladdin shows the recent episodes after making it Favorite.

Connected through MAC or XC ? If XC, it's maybe the reason it's not updating automatically ?

Sorry to insist but in this Beta Version the VoD List and the Channels update only if you are in "Power Off " mode (not in Standby) when switched off, if you press "Refresh" in the menu or if you "disconnect and reconnect" from the "Connections" Menu.

If you are (as I am) in "Standby" mode when switched off, the VoD & Channels will not update automatically the next time you'll switch on the box (only the EPG will).

I always got the VOD’s updated automatically even when turning the Z8 on after a standby mode (not powering it off)... It was like this in previous firmwares and same now in the latest beta.

The only thing you don’t get updated automatically is channel list indeed (the new « Refresh » button is very useful for this). But no issues with the VOD’s not being updated automatically while switching on from standby mode

    Hello,

I installed the new beta but one bug is still there : when I turn off my Z8 (standby mode) and turn it back on a few hours later, I don't have the on-air EPG next to most of the channel names (maybe 5% of channels have it as you can see in the following video). Even if I do a "clear EPG data", nothing changes.

I have to disconnect from portal and connect again, and then all the "on-air" EPG start loading next to all channels names.

Even with the new "Refresh" option, the on-air EPG doesn't load. This is really anoying, as I need to disconnect/reconnect portal every morning and every evening (after coming back home) in order to get the "on-air" EPG... If I turn the Z8 off (standby mode) and turn it on instantly, no issues with the EPG. The issue only occurs when I turn it on after a few hours, in the morning for example.

I made a video to show you this : https://youtu.be/bUeojF8uelw

FYI, i'm connected through portal (MAC activation), not XC API. Ticket already submitted to the support, with the video link as well.

    Thanks

    Hello,

A bug I noticed in the previous versions and that it still not fixed in the new beta :

When I'm watching Channel 1 and decide to use Cloud Timeshift function, it works.

If I change the channel and start watching Channel 2, and then go to Cloud Timeshift function on this Channel 2, it's the Cloud Timeshift of the previous channel that shows (Channel 1)... I need to exit the Cloud Timeshift and go back into it in order to get my Channel 2's correct Cloud Timshift.

Is it a known issue ?

If needed, I can send you a video as well.

    Regards.

    Hi Team,

First of all, thank you so much for this great beta version. Lots of new features that confirms MyTvOnline2 as the leader of IPTV apps on the market. Very very satisfied.

    First bug noticed :

On the french keyboard, when I press on "Information" button with the remote control on letters such as "A" or "E", I can see the special characters available but I can't choose any of them. Tried using the cursor but same issue, I'm not able to select any of these characters.

    Screenshot :

I also tried on another Z8 without installing the new beta update, same issue. Is it something already none ?

Second bug noticed yesterday night :

While moving very quickly and changing channels quite fast, MOL2 crashed 3 times (specialy when changing channels groups, or changing channels quickly in locked groups such as "Adult channels" for example). When moving normaly/slowly, there's no crash.

I'll check that point again tonight and will try to reproduce the issue.

    Thanks !

    Hi Team,

I noticed that often, even when IPv6 is disabled in the Z8 Android’s Settings, if I use Google Chrome on the Z8 and go to http://ipv6-test.com (and other websites to check IPv6 status) , I can see that IPv6 is still enabled on the device.

If I enable manually « IPv6 » setting in Android Settings and disable it again a few seconds later, then the IPv6 gets really disabled... but a few hours later (or after rebooting the box), the Z8 is getting an IPv6 again.

Is this a known issue ?

For your information, I tested this on 4 different Z8 (friends and family) with different internet providers and they all have that issue.

The only « workaround » is to disable IPv6 directly on the router settings, but some internet providers doesn’t allow to do it on their routers. And in this case, being able to disable IPv6 on the Formuler Z8 becomes really usefull.

    Thanks.

Check this part of the quote. I explained that same issue in details, with a video to show you and help you guys understanding.

And also one thing that prooves that the issue is on MOL2’s side :

If I change Android’s date manually to an earlier date, the issue is fixed ! All I have to do is to go to the Z8’s Date and Time Android Settings, disable the automatic time & date, and change the actual date to an earlier one (for example, 08/14/2018 instead of 08/14/2019). After that, when I open MyTvOnline2 again, the same program in the same channel's single EPG is displaying the correct description ! But the annoying thing with this "workaround" is that the on-air EPG next to the channels names (in the classic channel list) doesn’t show anymore...

Why is UTC Epg with offset not in use? With this you can correct your epg time to match with live tv data.

    You didn’t understand mate.

EPG offset is already set (UTC -1). EPG’s programs are correct, at the correct time, but the descriptions of the programs doesn’t match !

    For example :

You have a football game at 21h00 and a movie at 23h00 on the single EPG page of my channel.

Football game’s description shown in MOL2’s single EPG : the synopsis of the movie

Movie’s description shown in MOL2’s single EPG : informations about the football game

Is that easier to understand ? It’s simple : the descriptions doesn’t match to the program’s names, while it does on every other apps I tried.

No update ? The wrong EPG description on almost EVERY programs on EVERY channel’s single EPG page is really anoying. Only happens on MOL2, all other apps are showing correct EPG descriptions...

If needed, my subseller is OK to provide you a test line (MAC + XC/M3U) so you can reproduce and try to locate the issue.

    Please let us know.

    Hello,

Despite the recent betas and official updates, these 2 EPG issues (wrong EPG descriptions on single EPG pages + the « on-air » EPGs not loading automatically) are still not fixed...

Any news about these issues please ? Thanks.

By the way, one important thing I noticed : when I go to Add portal and connect the same serveur with username/password + server URL (instead of MAC portal + MAC activation on server side), all the on-air EPG next to channels names load at startup and I don’t need to scroll on channel’s pages in order to load the on-air program next to channels names...

So it means that the issue occurs only with MAC portal activation... Maybe it can help for troubleshooting.

    Keep us informed, thanks!

    Thanks for forwarding !

And something else : quite often, I noticed that the on-air EPG next to channel’s names is wrong (stuck on an older program’s name that has already been broadcasted on the channel). And if I do a « clear EPG data », then it loads the current on-air program name next to channel’s names. Is that normal that I need to clear manually the EPG data in order to update the on-air programs names ? Can’t it be done automatically, when a program is over and a new one is on-air ?

Thanks again for your support

One question about epg. When you have such channel and go to epg grid (not single epg) is the description in header same like in single epg?

I checked today your channel and epg but not understand french and can not compare if it`s right or not

We need compare between two different providers if shown epg is same or different.

BTW, what do you use MAC/ID or XC Api?

    Hi SAM ,

Sorry for the late answer, I was in holidays

I checked what you asked for, and I can confirm you that the program’s description is correct in the EPG grid while not in single EPG. For example, on CINE+ CLUB channel, the description of program « Spermula » is wrong in the single EPG page of this channel, but if I go to the EPG grid, the description of the program « Spermula » is correct...

So there is an issue only with the single EPG that is displaying wrong EPG descriptions on many programs.

    Thanks.

On every other IPTV apps (STB Emu, IPTV Smarters, etc.), the same program’s description in single EPG is correct, but not in MOL2. And as mentioned before, if I change my Formuler Z8 Android’s date to an earlier one, the program’s description in single EPG goes back to the correct one.

    Definitely weird

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for trying to take a look at this issue. I’ll check the EPG grid later today and let you know if the program’s description is wrong or not, as it is in the singles EPG page.

And I’m connected through MAC address, not using XC api. And BTW, while checking other channels, I noticed that many of them have the same « wrong EPG description » issue.

Will let you know later today about the EPG grid thing.

    Regards.

First, thank you for very detailed issue description, would all questions looks like your post it would be easy support

    1. I saw it until now on two channels, could be some bug. Has lower priority but it`s bug in description.

Now are many of formuler people in summer holidays and after holidays i will forward this issue to right person, maybe they can fix it already in September hotfix release. Thread is parked and will be forwarded.

    2. No it`s not bug but need continuous improve. Some people have in lists over 20-30K channels and files, you can imagine how much data must be loaded to have all epg data in good speed. Therefore should be the current start category the watched one and not all category's, because of the priority of epg load.

    Thanks for your reply !

    1. Ok cool, it would be great if this can be fixed in the next hotfix

    2. I understand. Maybe MyTvOnline2 should load all the EPG of the channels group we are in ?

For example : when I open the channel’s group « FRANCE FHD », all the channels of this category should load the on-air EPG. With that, only the on-air EPG of the channels located in « FRANCE FHD » will be loaded, not the EPG of every channels available on the server.

    Regards.

    Hi All,

Since the last update, I have the following issue with some channel’s EPG (not all) : the EPG program’s name is correct in the Single EPG, but the description of the program is wrong. I first thought that it was my provider’s fault who had set wrong EPG on some channels. So I tried on 3 other IPTV apps, and all of them were showing the correct description on the exact same program. Then I realized that it was a MyTvOnline2/Z8 bug.

So I made a lot of tests (EPG in UTC/Normal and with/without offset, changed Android’s date/time/offset, etc) and spent a few hours trying to fix this. I also made a factory reset, but it didn't fix the issue.

However, here is what I noticed :

If I change Android’s date manually to an earlier date, the issue is fixed ! All I have to do is to go to the Z8’s Date and Time Android Settings, disable the automatic time & date, and change the actual date to an earlier one (for example, 08/14/2018 instead of 08/14/2019). After that, when I open MyTvOnline2 again, the same program in the same channel's single EPG is displaying the correct description ! But the annoying thing with this "workaround" is that the on-air EPG next to the channels names (in the classic channel list) doesn’t show anymore...

I made a video in order to show you what I just explained above, here is the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zW18N2xgvPw

00:12" : you can see the movie "Full Metal Jacket" on the single EPG of CINE+ CLUB FHD with the wrong description ("Parce que son oncle Salomon..."). This is the description of another movie that was scheduled on this channel later the same day.

00:28" : I exit MyTvOnline2 and change Android's year to 2018 instead of 2019 (I can also change the day without changing the year)

    00:41" : I reopen MyTvOnline2

00:51" : as you can see, I don't see the on air program next to the channel's names anymore (I tried to clear EPG data, didn't fixed the issue)

01:00" : I go back to CINE+ CLUB FHD's single EPG and now, the description of the movie "Full Metal Jacket" is the correct one ("Au centre d'entrainement de Parris Island...") !

I don't think I had this issue before the betas and the latest final update... I tried on a friend's Z8 with the same provider and same channel, and he also has the same issue... All the descriptions of this channel's single EPG are wrong (and we have the same issue with a few other channels as well, only in MyTvOnline2).

Do you have any idea about this ?

I also have an other "issue" (don't know if this is a real issue of if this is supposed to be normal) : when I open MyTvOnline2, the on-air EPG next to the channel's names doesn't load on all the channels. It load's progressively when i scroll down in the channel list.

I made another video to show you this issue as well, here is the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HRSUFqIHlg

00:00" : i'm on this channel list page for about 10 seconds so all the on-air EPG next to the channel's names are already loaded

00:04" : as soon as I start scrolling down, you can see that the on-air EPGs are loading one after the other. The latest update of MyTvOnline2 wasn't supposed to load all the EPG instantly, with the "EPG loading" icon on the right top corner ? Because even after that this icon dispears (which is supposed to mean that all channel's EPGs are loaded, right?), I still have to scroll on every channels and wait for a few seconds to see the on-air program next to the channel's names.

If this is not a bug, is there any chances we can choose to load all channel's on-air EPGs when starting MyTvOnline2 in a future update ?

    Thanks for your help !

    Regards.

    Hello...

    • [MOL2] ADD: VOD trailers for xtream-codes API portal

    1. I do have an Xtream-Codes portal, and I can't find the trailers on VOD (movies and TV series)... I only have the movie's picture, the synopsis and a list of the actors, but no "Trailer" button or anything like that.

    2. The EPG bug (forced to scroll all the channels one by one in order to see the ongoing TV program right next to the channel's name) is still there, wasn't it supposed to be fixed in this official update ? This critical issue is really annoying for all the Z8 users I know...

    3. We still can't add any VOD (movies / tv series) as "Favorite"

    4. I didn't notice any change between the last beta update and this official update... Is that because I didn't do the factory reset after updating to the official update ? Or is the factory reset adviced only for a "cleaner" install ?

    Thanks.
