Hi all,
I did it!! But I had to use another method. While trying to touch a little bit all the buttons on the remote control, I noticed that the "resolution" button was the only one that worked. As a result, the window with all the resolutions appeared. And that's how I proceed:
- I press the resolution button on the remote control (the window with all resolutions appears)
- Then I press the back button on the remote control (the "Display" menu window appears)
- I click on UI Size and change the resolution from 1080 to 720 or vice versa depending on your initial setting.
- A pop-up appears which informs you that the formuler requires a reboot
- Click on "ok"
- The reboot starts. The front LED of the Formuler starts blinking very quickly green/red
- Press the red button on the remote control
- Press button 1 on the remote control
- The factory reset starts.
The thing that made me do this is that I noticed that by using the above solution, after the reboot of the formuler, the front led of the Formuler was blinking very very quickly. (This was not the case with the other solution that I tried 20 times, the LEDs blinked yes, but really very slowly. )
I don't know if my BOX is special:-). But at least if someone will face this problem, there are now two solutions to make a factory reset ![]()

Thanks Sam, that's exactly how I proceed. After seeing a quick instant "loading", the screen returns on the same visual "The leanbacklauncher app has stopped to work". I really don't know what else to do.
I can't access it, the screen remains blocked on the message (see screenshot I sent earlier). No menu access, nothing. Only this black screen with this message.
Thanks for your contribution. From my side I can't even do the factory reset, it doesn't work. By following the procedure, nothing happens. Where can I download the firmware for the z8?
Still persisting unfortunatelly and if I understand right, there is no way to install the firmware via USB for the Formuler Z8?

Thanks Sam and sorry. I follow your instruction right now, but nothing happened.
1. AC power on
2. Press RED button rapidly
simultaneously
3. Front LED will flash red-green-red-green...
Do I have to presse the red button to stop the flash light?
4. press 1 on the remote
Just 1 press or do I have to maintain pressed until something happened.
I ve just tried following the instructions.
-Remove power from the device.
-Re-insert power and rapidly press the red button on the remote.
-The front status light will start to blink red and green.
-Stop pressing the red button
-Press 1 on the remote and wait for the reset procedure to complete
At the last point, when pressing 1 on the remote nothing happened! ![]()
Don't know why.
Maybe i'm doing something wrong!

I'have already uninstall the app. But now it remains blocked with the message you can see in the screen shot. No way to access again to any menu or app of the device. Is there a special manipulation that I can do?

Quick update.
I have finally found the settings that give me satisfaction. I have disabled the HDR Permanent Mode and set it to Auto. (with permanent HDR, I had a blurry picture). Then in the display options of the z8 formulator, I drastically increased the saturation. I made some adjustments on my TV (color, brightness) and that's it. I have the image I wanted. If you have any questions, available. I've been doing tests for weeks now and I know exactly which features to enable or disable: -). Of course, this applies to my LG TV and formuler Z8.

By continuing my setting test, on the formuler Z8, we can select RGB or YcBcR, 4.2.0, 4.2.2, 4.4.4. Is this setting relevant? if yes, which one is the best?

I will also try your suggestions. I admit that I expected something better image quality with my new Z8 and LG. It must be a question of settings. It's not easy. I will come back to you with my results:-)
I also tested Dolby Vision (which, of what I read on Internet should be even better than HDR10). But even not really satisfied.
Thank you. So it should work perfectly with the Z8 since it supports 2160/60hz.

concerning: Unclear from where you are trying to access replay from. You need to be more descriptive. No one can read your mind.
With "my tvonline 1", When I clicked on the button "See image formuler remote", I could see the list of programs available in replay as showed in the image "Formuler".
Not possible with mytv online2.
Hi everybody, I'm new here,
I bought a z8 formuler. The performances are just great. However, I have some problems or features that I can't find in Mytv online 2 compared to MyTV online 1.
- I can't set the epg in UTC mode (from normal to UTC). As a result, my EPG are completely out of step.
- Why the maximum resolution reached by the box is 2160 and not 3840?
- On My TV online 1, when you scrolled through the channels, I could directly see the summary of the film or show in progress. I don't see that on My TV online2.
- I can no longer access the replay by pressing directly on the right key (with the arrows) something I could do with MyTV online 1.
Does anyone have the same problems or at least a solution?
