I closed all opened app, restarted the device, but nothing happened.
What can I do?

Yes absolutely! I wanted to install a new Video Player.
Deinstall this app, seems this video player app produce error. When all works nice again, reboot not to forget, install vlc video app this works great.
I'have already uninstall the app. But now it remains blocked with the message you can see in the screen shot. No way to access again to any menu or app of the device. Is there a special manipulation that I can do?
The fastest and clean way is to make factory reset if you can not reach the settings or to delete the cache. First close all apps ( menu button holding 2 sec) and if not help plug out power supply for 10min. and test again, if same, factory reset.
Thanks Sam, I will try as soon I will be home. In case it doesn't help, How can I do a factory reset?

I ve just tried following the instructions.
-Remove power from the device.
-Re-insert power and rapidly press the red button on the remote.
-The front status light will start to blink red and green.
-Stop pressing the red button
-Press 1 on the remote and wait for the reset procedure to complete
At the last point, when pressing 1 on the remote nothing happened! ![]()
Don't know why.
Maybe i'm doing something wrong!

Do I have to presse the red button to stop the flash light?

Just 1 press or do I have to maintain pressed until something happened.
Still persisting unfortunatelly and if I understand right, there is no way to install the firmware via USB for the Formuler Z8?

Almost same problem here.
I installed the latest firmware.
I only have mol2 on the device.
No other apps, no google account on it etc.
I factory reset 3 times the z8.
Sometimes i get the message " launcher stopped'.
I have a mac sub.
No other apps installed.
After 3 Times factory reset and setting up mol2.
i get this message after i setting up network or launcher i thought.
I guess launcher settings (if i see the error)

Do reset button (next to hotkeys button) and then click on Factory?
I can't access it, the screen remains blocked on the message (see screenshot I sent earlier). No menu access, nothing. Only this black screen with this message.
Ok, back to factory reset.
How did you Step1? Just turn off with RCU or power plug out > plug in.?

Ok new explain:
1. AC power plug out > plug in and directly press simultaneously and rapidly the RED Button.
2. You are still pressing Red Button until Front Led begins to flash red-green-red-green. Now stop to press Red Button and press once the 1 on RCU.
3. Factory reset in progress.
Now im curious again if this goes good.

Thanks Sam, that's exactly how I proceed. After seeing a quick instant "loading", the screen returns on the same visual "The leanbacklauncher app has stopped to work". I really don't know what else to do.
I would have post a video if possible. It's very very strange.

I did it!! But I had to use another method. While trying to touch a little bit all the buttons on the remote control, I noticed that the "resolution" button was the only one that worked. As a result, the window with all the resolutions appeared. And that's how I proceed:
- I press the resolution button on the remote control (the window with all resolutions appears)
- Then I press the back button on the remote control (the "Display" menu window appears)
- I click on UI Size and change the resolution from 1080 to 720 or vice versa depending on your initial setting.
- A pop-up appears which informs you that the formuler requires a reboot
- Click on "ok"
- The reboot starts. The front LED of the Formuler starts blinking very quickly green/red
- Press the red button on the remote control
- Press button 1 on the remote control
- The factory reset starts.
The thing that made me do this is that I noticed that by using the above solution, after the reboot of the formuler, the front led of the Formuler was blinking very very quickly. (This was not the case with the other solution that I tried 20 times, the LEDs blinked yes, but really very slowly. )
I don't know if my BOX is special:-). But at least if someone will face this problem, there are now two solutions to make a factory reset ![]()
