    Actually, when I tried inputting the PIN code with the android Z8 remote app it worked, but the PIN code "0000" does not work with the formulerZ8 RCU. Maybe because I have keyboard set to VirtualME?

    I am trying to modify startup app setting but keep encountering the following problems:

    1. Settings/Launcher Settings/App Groups/Locker
    • Asks for “Enter PIN-Code
    • What is this, what is the pin code? I tried “0000”, “1111”, “1234” but nothing works to unlock this

    • Asks for “Enter PIN-Code: What is this, what is the pin code? I tried “0000”, “1111”, “1234” but nothing works to unlock this
    • Also, I am trying to set the Z8 to stop opening an app (tivimate) at startup but cannot find this setting and it must be in item 2 above and is locked?

    Can someone advise me on how to resolve these two issues? Are the only option's a factory or software data reset to resolve this?

    What are the remote control inputs/commands to operate the functions (if any) of the PIP feature? Or, is PIP on there, stuck in the top right corner in static fashion with no options available?

  • DNS CHANGE

    Settings-/Network-/IP Settings-/Static: enter your local IP address, Gateway (router IP), network prefix length: 24, DNS 1: and DNS 2. Looks like Z8 boxes are set to google DNS by default.

    well, yeah, but the vpn IP gets banned as well. I dont think using a vpn has any impact or relation to these so called IP flood bans. They are a function of excessive epg requests from the device.

    Hers's the issue: some devices/many devices like and dislike certain 5G channels...a macbook is a good example where 5G channel 149/161 etc show one or two wifi strength bars but show five wifi bars when I switch to channel 36 or 40. Perhaps the wifi card on your device performs better on different 5G channels. Tty it out...change the wifi channels on your router and check the wifi strength meter. Not sure what device you are using, but the Z8 has gigabit ethernet and u probably are better off using it to connect with vs wifi if you cannot maximize the 5G signal strength.

    Cloudflare is NOT even a vpn but merely a DNS resolver. If you want... change the DNS on the Z8 to cloudflare or better yet use Quad9-(9.9.9.9/149.112.112.112)....way better privacy with them and just as fast.

  • MOL2 Plays "automatically" last live tv

    Hi,

    I am new to Z8 and ask for assistance to find and change settings in MOL2 to prevent automatically conecting to last live TV that was playing. This happens as soon as I click on MOL2 app on the main screen. Is there a setting that can be set to prevent this from happening?

  • Beta firmware 1.4.25-1.4.30 -1.4.40 - 1.4.41 / Mytvonline 2 software 7.2.3-7.3.0-7.5.0 for Z8.

    I have checked Software Update on my Z8 and this hot-fix update is not shown or available on my box...why is that?

    My current firmware is v1.4.22, IPTV version is v7.2.2.

    I have deleted both my API line, m3u list, re-entered it into xtream-editor and there is no change...they do not connect in MOL2.

    But, I will try it all over again.

    No, it's definately still not working with MOL2, except for a M*G line, but working okay in tivimate.

    yes I can. But u will need a vpn capable router.

    I would recommend AsusRT-AC86U flashed with Merlin f/w. This router has hardware acceleration to maximize OpenVPN speed.

    Your Z8 will not be able to manage the encryption load of OpenVPN.

    yes, this entire debacle comes across as being somewhat suspicious. When I sent a suport ticket to xtream-editor they told me to use this new X3M player and then they went silent.

    As I said, it worked fine for me as well,....for a few weeks. Then something got discobuberated I suppose and refuses to work now.

    I just tried MaGLine 12 hour trial with xtream-editor and thats working 100% well!

    Just xtream-editor API lines have stopped working for me.
