I was a bit disappointed when I finally got my new Z12 Ultra, not with the device itself, but with the sound issues MyTv3 presented me with. The issue was, as I read many of other users also experienced, that i just wouldn't decode DD+ and Dolby Atmos in the live tv channels, specifically in Sky Sports F1 4K, which is an amazing experience when you also have a somewhat decent home sound system. And i couldn't find any solutions in here, although it does seem that Formuler is aware of the issue and will work on a future update to fix this. But it’s still so unbelievably annoying to finally have a Z12 with Dolby Vision, but no sound to match it, in the live channels. But I think a simple toggle have fixed it for now. In the settings for screen and sound, go to Advanced Sound settings, go down to Choose Formats and instead of Automatic, choose Legacy Passthrough and bum. Now I have the functionality of Dolby Atmos and DD+ in all the live channels that offers it. 🥳
I found out that the Dolby MS12 has a issue in the newer STB and IP boxes, and why this is, I have no idea, but this simple on/off toggle have fixed it, for now anyway. Hope it works for all of you also.
