Maybe a provider issue? Did you try other apps?
i inquired and they are not experiencing this issue. Apparently im the only one who reported this and they said it could be a codec issue which is why i came here

quick update
Issue resolved after using an ethernet coupler.
175n - please review my cable
Display MoreHow long is your cat7 cable?
Did you make your own cat7 cable?
If so, provide the wiring diagram you used.
How is the cable terminated on each end? With a standard 8p8c connector or a gg45 connector?
Is the cable in question a patch cable or crossover cable?
If you purchased the cable, provide a link to what was purchased
my cable is a 60ft cable purchased here
With Ethernet adapter i was meaning this and not Ethernet to USB adapter-> https://www.amazon.ca/Network-Ethern…ctronics&sr=1-4
From one side your Cat7 and from other CAT5/6 and then to Z8, should work.
FYI. I use all main Cables as Cat7 in my network (preparing for 10GBps Network) but all of this CAT7 cables are connected with 24 port Network switch and then spread to other switches and network cans. From there to all other devices with cat 6 cables.
CAT7 is cable for 10GBps Network but downward compatible with all Ethernet ports.
ok good, this is what i purchased and i will connect a cat 6 on the other end to the box. ill let you know how that goes
Hi Sam, can you respond please
sam said he uses many cat 7 cables so I'm not really sure what to think at this point
Sam , are we missing drivers in the firmware?
Why did you ask if you should buy a USB to ethernet adapter?
How are you currently connecting your Z8 to your router? Also with a "cat 7 usb adapter"?
You need a cat5 or cat6 ethernet cable with two (male) RJ45 connectors.
Just use such a cable to connect the ethernet port on your Z8 to an ethernetport in your internet provider router/cablemodem, or local router.
Sam suggested it.
im not using an adapter. i have a 60ft cat 7 cable that took me 2 days to pass through my ceilings and there is no way i will replace that with a cat 5 or cat 6.
is a coupler a bad idea?
All i can say is, try with another (for example cat 6) cable or use ethernet adapter.
something like this?
https://www.amazon.ca/AmazonBasics-1…r/dp/B00M77HMU0
How about an ethernet coupler? Would I be able to connect a cat 5 cable on the other side of it?
When i look into your log i see wifi is also ON for Z8. Disable wifi on Z8, connect then the Ethernet cable with z8 and restart the box once. Let the box enough time to run trough dhcp and test if connected now with Internet.
BTW. When you connect lan cable with Z8, be sure you hear the "click" for proper insert/connect.
it was on cause I enabled it after the network cable issue.
that being said, i just followed your exact instructions and that didn't work. The cable clicks perfectly
No, I've only read about that cat7 has not been designed for "home use", and that it should normally only used as link between routers and/or patch boxes (like on inter-provider-level). And that (also) because of that, the chipsets on some consumer products are lacking some "transceiver" support in the chipset managing the ethernet port.
It would still help to check router logs to check for this or other clues, but I suggested that already.
still odd that it would work on a mecool bb2 box thats 4 years old and not the formuler
any other suggestions?
As a test:
Can you configure the router/modem ethernet port to disable Auto-Negotiation and manually set it to 100Mbps Full Duplex (and 1Gbps FD)?
(and make sure you unplug/plug the cable from/to the Z8 to force signal reset)
Does it make a difference?
If not, check the router log, perhaps a hint to a cause/solution is there...
manually set it to 100Mbps Full Duplex (and 1Gbps FD)?
I tried this and still no detection of the cable. replugged to my other android box and no issues with detection. Tried the cat 5 cable again to the z8 and no issues with detection.
At this point, the issue appears to be with the z8 box not detecting my cat 7 cable
here is my cable
What if you use the same cat7 cable on another device, like pc/laptop, does that work without any problem?
yes. it works perfect on another android box and laptop
HI,
Are there known issues with Cat 7 cables. Im having the following issue.
I can connect a cat 5 cable and no issues with this
I connect a Cat 7 cable and there is no network connection. It seems as though it doesnt detect it. The network settings icon has a question mark
Do you have more info?
What type of device are you using? Formuler z8
What filesystem? Fat 32
How much free space? Usb is empty
How do you restart your box daily? Shutdown/Start or Standby/Start? I dont know. When I shut off my receiver (several times daily)that its connected to, the light on the box eventually turns red so I'm not sure what state it's in.
i can no longer record since the most recent update
Im getting the following error
"Warning"
Recording error
Strange, because this issue with loading icon was already fixed with last update. New beta should come today or tomorrow.
may I suggest, if possible, to not have the epg load automatically every time we disconnect and reconnect if this issue persists and can't be resolved? Instead, we should be manually hitting the update feature when clicking edit in the playlist?
Just a thought
So the last several days has not been fun. The issue has returned and I can confirm that it was not with the m3u editor as I tested without it.
I reset the box to factory settings and the issue persists. Epg loading does not go away and the app eventually crashes to a mytvonline2 has stopped error message
I have another android box with tivimate installed and the epg fully updates after 1 minute.
So the issue is not the epg server. It is in fact mytvonline2 that cannot handle the time it takes to load the epg.
I'm hard wired at a speed of 650mb/s
What's odd is the epg is fully populated. The message just wont go away.
Please help.
I think I figured it out. You are right. It was with the editor.
hi,
Another user here with epg loading issues the last 2 days. My epg provider says I'm the only one.
It never goes away even though the epg is fully loaded.
Mytvonline2 eventually freezes up and crashes.
I use m3u4u editor and assigned all the correct tvg ids.
I've been using this epg provider for 1 week and just started having issues yesterday.
I tried clearing epg data and clearing cache from android settings. Rebooted my network and box.
Help please
just happened to me twice in the last 2 days. Luckily my provider is quick enough to unblock my IP address.
I have the best provider in Quebec.
which provider should I try? Who are you with?
is would be much much better if it could be used to search for a program title.
I keep having this issue where some channels take like 3-10 seconds to load and some channels have no volume until i keep going back and forth like 3 or 4 times before it starts working again. Are these know issues? I have the latest update.
Im hard wired with a speed of over 500mbps
i can watch iptv fine but i find it disturbing that i can generate higher speeds with the Buzz TV using the same speed app and 5gz router connection.
if thats the case, its pretty useless. Hopefully that will be added
yesterday night I was trying to search the EPG for the miami dolphins football game and all I received FOX Miami as a result. The EPG had Miami vs Jacksonville description in the FOX San Francisco channel but that didn't come up as a result.
is it normal that the search feature is coming up with the network and not the actual program in the epg?
same issue on 5gz. Is the box defective?
I would also like to add that I verified with my Bell Provided and my speed is actually over 500 mbps. I connected the Ethernet cable and got the speed to 640mpbs. Still trying to figure out why 5gz doesn't give that speed. I will try the static IP
I restarted the router and the box again. max speed is 143. 5gz Connection is excellent! Plugged the buzztv3900 and i can get to 250mbps.
Im ready to troubleshoot this further. Please advise
measured with speed test app. Upload gets to 230mbps.
Box and router restarted.
I didn't try hard wired.
my connection is excellent and the box is 12 feet away from the router.
I have a 300mbps speed with Bell
I can't get passed 140mbps when connected via 5gz.
My brother in law brought his buzztv3900 and I can reach 250 mbps.
What can i do to resolve this issue?
