  • Is known issue and Formuler works on this. Please note, that only few providers are affected, not all!

  • It's because some providers have high security settings and for some reason mol2 is requesting too much data quickly from the server and this leads to ip flood ban. If my provider banned me I would contact them and request them to lower the security settings if not I would change to another provider.

  • Why you dont buy a Z7+ or Z7+ 5G

They dont have that problem and works fine.

They do work fine, true, but why would I buy the previous model? Yes, they are almost the same but I believe the focus would be on MOL2. And at the moment it's in beta stage with no ETA for a fix even after a full round of betas and 2+ months of the problems being reported.

    Its a previous model.

    But it works.

U use it for iptv so why not?

And the same android 7 version so other apps will also work.

  • I'm at my wits end. I tried over 10 IPTV services on MyTVOnline 2 and still the problem persists. I don't understand why it hasn't been fixed? I don't want to use other applications like Smart IPTV. I bought the z8 specifically for it's exclusive features including MOL 2. Please fix it!

  • Hi, I had a problem with the Formuler Z8 and its app Mytvonline V2

All those that I have put in after a while make the iptv provider that I have hired end up banning the IP from where they are placed.

However, the z7 + with version 1 of mytvonline do not have that problem

I do not know what to do but it is clear that it only happens with the z8

  • Overall, MOL2 has been great. No problem with flood limits from 2 providers I use. Certainly there are some issues that need to be resolved - Microsoft, Apple, and every app developer in the world have problems that need to be addressed. It takes time. A friend has a Z7+ and a Z8. He'll gladly trade his MOL1 for MOL2!

My experience as a new user is that none of the existing issues makes the box undesirable. Indeed, most users would agree, I think, that the Z8 and MOL2 are at the top of the list for IPTV streaming applications. Keep up the good work!

  • I also did not have problems with these flood limits, and have tried 3 different IPTV services up until now, all of them no problems with bans etc. So I guess it's as Sam says only with a minority of the providers. Nevertheless, it would be good if the devs could look into a solution. Perhaps adding an option to the Settings where you can turn off/on the prefetching/requesting of the EPG data? So it will only fetch EPG for when you're watching that channel, or when you're hovering over the channel in the EPG. Another fix could be to add a setting to limit the amount of requests per second to the server.

Furthermore I would like to add that I'm very happy with my Formuler Z8 and MyTVonline2.. Sure the software isn't perfect but it beats the crap out of all the other boxes and apps in terms of user-friendliness, usability and features. Of course there are bugs here and there but I feel the devs are doing their best to address everything. So to the devs (and everyone involved), keep up the good work!

[MOL2] IMP: EPG loading performance was already improved in last Update and still need more improvements, this is known.

To find the right step where speed, user satisfaction and full data matches is not so easy. Formuler could lowering the loading speed and requests per second but this would result in much, much slower EPG and what we have then? The other user`s would then come and start to complain about not working or very slow EPG again. Most users expect, click and all is shown but this is not so easy, especially when some standard for all providers is missing etc.

My personal opinion as private user and not admin would be, to stop at one point with all request implementations, throw the current EPG code away and start with programming of new one and fixing all other bugs, even if it costs 1year we would have much clearer code. Second, the Updates frequency should goes down and only two major updates per year, more QC and much longer beta testing before official comes out.

I think this would be helpful to all but.. and but is the point.. the users want asap each new feature that they found out there, implemented into MOL2 and if possible in update from yesterday  If Formuler would follow my idea, the complains would again grow and result would be again unhappy users saying Formuler do nothing, like already vampiro say  Whatever Formuler implements or not, there will be always some nb. of unhappy users...

Would it make any sense to compile and post a list of requests, and ask forum members to rank their top priorities? (Perhaps top three, or more?) This might be helpful input for the Developers, and for users.

Of course, there are probably technical issues that the Devs must work on, that are likely "invisible" to many users, and many items are currently being addressed, which should take precedence. But letting users know what's "in the pipeline" for the next release could help settle the dust.

Do you have a team of beta and/or "hot fix" testers? I'd be interested in joining the group to test issues that I've encountered.

This forum has been very helpful to me. I've only had the Z8 for a month or so, and have finally decided to "cut the cord"! This is the first IPTV implementation that I've tested which gives me enough confidence to make the cut.

    Thanks!

Very true, satisfying all users wishes is almost impossible, I have first-hand experience with that being a developer myself . But it's always good to give users options to control the behaviour of your software. As I mentioned a setting to control the request limits, where the default is as it is now (no limit) and users who have a service provider with stricter limits would have the option to limit it. Shouldn't be very difficult I think (a big guess since I'm not familiar with the MOL2 codebase). If you need any help with it (development / testing etc) please let me know, I'd be happy to help out.

There is request thread with many requests inside and not only this thread is in use. Formuler have more pipelines with incoming feedbacks, requests etc.

The requests comes to the devs. and some of them find the way into fw or sw. Not all requests are possible or useful and the prio of them depends only from devs. The giving of informations to the community what exactly is planed and in pipeline, we already do when we get the infos from the devs.

For now they working on hotfixes from last update and we hope to see at beginning September next update.

Appreciate your understanding and will to help. For now are the Beta tests open for everyone (to much user requests to be Beta Tester in past, so we decided to make it public) and the possibility to test and leave feedbacks. Sometimes are the feedbacks very useful but also sometimes not, detailed feedbacks are always important and welcome. If something in Beta testing change i will come to you two, until then you are free to test each Beta and give detailed feedbacks in Beta thread.

The idea about request limit control or even epg off is something what should be considered. Even if this is not maybe the best solution it is some idea that devs. can consider. After Holidays (many in summer holidays) i will forward this to the devs..

  • Ok for allusions I will try to explain again what is the problem that the security system relaxes the iptv administrator.

permanent attacks on the iptv that causes the service to drop.

Therefore, the IPTV security package must be like this.

I can understand your posture, now understand mine

The only app on the market that makes a line be banned by its IPTV IP is MOL2.

Everything else works perfect, MOL1 didn't have that problem

The rest of the apps don't do that.

However, I find that I have to explain to people that in order for their Z8 to work well and not ban IP, they have to stop using MOL2 and use any other IPTV app

when it seems to me the best app in the market if not, for that "small" problem.

You see the optimal solution as, change provider

ok, as a provider I tell them, change iptv app

is that even if I could I would put MOL1 in the z8, but it is not even available in the market

  • By the way, note that the Z8 as well as the z7 + seem very good devices

They are the ones that I buy and the ones that I recommend to everyone and MOL the best iptv app that I have seen, but there is that problem in MOL2 that is killing me

  • For the record, after I started using NordVPN the flood ban issues disappeared.

I will not start now with telling the providers or some one else how to do they homework. I know very well and believe me i know it very well, how server security works. DDos Attacks / HTTP, SYN or Ping flood is something that happens everywhere, each min/sec over the world. To prevent something like this is very hard and need highest knowledge, but it is possible with many scripts in background to control, watch and check complete traffic. Not even this (best scripts) are always best and work like they should, if the made settings are not completely set correct. On other side are also the Servers the week spot, low Server resources, scripts etc. etc. I could continue with this for next few days and write book but i cut here and make it short.

There are very big differences between the providers and what/how they use it. I learned that powerful servers with top settings and great support works and stream perfect and some others have always problems, good is, there are not so much struggling but they are in productive modus with active users. Second, such providers have bigger nb. of users then this server can handle, this is also something that should be included in such discussions.

Fact is also, that i and college of me did test with 30 providers (trial) in last 2 Months and not even one was with IP Bann afflicted, coincidence? No, it was searching and random picking of them for test. I was until now only once able to test Banned account from one user and that was with ID/MAC portal. XC Api or M3U works always like i know.

Teleporting Mol1 to Z8 will never happen. Why? Because Mol1 is hard to code (first code), to much barriers and depends also from Firmware. Mol2 is new clearer code, much powerful er, no obstructions and better interface. Also here Mol2 depends from Firmware and Firmware from device, completely integration of SW and Firmware in one package.

How ever, if you are willing to help find some solution for your current problem, open ticket on Helpdesk, write detailed what happens, who you are if you are Provider and provide few test accounts for the devs. so they can test it. Maybe they found faster solution then you think.

But note, there are Summer Holidays and if the answers take some time, then be patient if you can.

    Thx for the feedback:thumbs_up:

  • Hi Sam, I understand you guys are working on this issue, however this is happening with every new client I get with a specific provider. While this issue is being worked out, what are the potential solutions? (Contacting a provider to relax their security settings is not a solution as this issue only happens with MyTvOnline 2.)

I have about 10 people effected by this issue in the past 2 days.

What information do you need from our end to get this fixed faster. Do you want me to put in a ticket?

  • little by little, more and more cases are emerging

I had to give up selling the formulator z8 and return to selling the z7 + with mol1

since it is impossible to be like this with constant bans of all my clients who have bought a z8

  • vampiro

If you are Provider then contact me trough pm and provide two test accounts for the developers to check the issue.

Other Providers with same issue are also welcome to do the same.

Please understand the developers need such test accounts (and little help when ban happens, for unlock) to find the solution.
