I have a new Z12 Ultra and the remote will not adjust the sound on the soundbar. I have both the TV and the soundbar setup correctly in the remote setup app but the volume buttons on the remote only change the TV when it should be doing the soundbar. I have a Z11 Pro and that one works as expected but the Z12 Ultra doesn't no matter how many changes I try. Really appreciate any help.

Yep. The side buttons control the TV volume instead.

Then is your Soundbar not connected with TV on ARC Port (config: Box connected with TV, TV over ARC with Soundbar) otherwise the Tv would forward the volume control to Soundbar.

The soundbar is connected to the TV on ARC port via HDMI and my box is connected to the TV via HDMI. The strange thing is my Z11 pro works correctly, its the new Z12 that I am setting up is doing this oddly

If TV is connected over ARC with Soundbar and Audio TV option is set to passthrough to Soundbar, in Formuler App the Soundbar chosen for volume control, then it should work. Please check again all settings.

Following up with this as all my settings are correct and it doesn't work. When I press volume up or down it changes a volume slider on the right side of the screen which isn't even a TV or sound bar volume slider. The Samsung TV volume indicator is always on the left side of the screen and whatever the z12 is doing is showing on the right side
Funny my sonos is setup via Optical link to samsung tv my left volume buttons control Z12 box volume but if i use the top right buttons they control tv volume which is my sonos volume

Thinking of updating to the Z12, how is it progressing along, would you recommend to purchase?

Yes ,although were awaiting major update,the z12 ultra is worth it.Also depends where you are coming from z10 or lower or z11
