Z11 problem

    Hi,

    My z8 died this week and I've upgraded to z11 pro max!

    Here's my problem.

    I want to create a simple list of channels that I regularly use.

    Like BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC 4, itv 1, sky news.

    All free to air.

    I don't want to trawl through hundreds of channels, I just want this.

    I've watched various YouTube but I can't find simple answer.

    With my z8 I just clicked yellow button.

    If I can't get this I'll have to revert to buying an inf erio formuler model and waste any benefit, the top range might have given me.

    Hi,first of all,sincere condoleances on your z8 dying!

    If i understand you correctly you use a tuner and not an iptv provider to get your preferred channels?

    Is that right?

    Thanks, had good 2 years with it.

    I have an iptv provider, and on both my previous models as well.

    The groups are there but not really easily manageable, if my 1st 3 hours is anything to go by.

    I think mol3 might be an improvement too far unless I have a simple tv guide of my favourites.

    You might wanna have a look on videotutorials i n Homepage Helpcenter on how to set Favorites and manage Groups,or have a look at YouTube in the Formuler channel.

    Dont give up on the z11 too quickly,its a really good box,with lots of potential:winking_face:

    I love the z series and would be upset to throw away the z11 and pay another €160 for a workable machine.

    I'll check them out.

    I'd be upset if it wasn't easy, I'm a long time computer programmer who can normally figure it out with the help of manufacturers and YouTube.

    I only want 2 things from streaming box.

    Content and ability to watch easily and record to watch later if necessary.

    Hi,

    Ive watched a lot of youtube videos and the Formuler site downloads but I am still confused.

    I have various groups with supplied content.

    For example UK entertainment which contains BBC1 HD & BBC3 for example.

    I have other groups like UK sports which might have sky sports 1 and sky golf.

    I woul dlike to be able to create a list with only BBC1 HD & Sky Sports 1.

    How do I do this?

    I have managed to creat a list [don't know how] with UK entertainment selections.

    How do I get other groups in this list?

    Any help would be appreciated, if this doesnt wprk I will go back and buy Z10 and use MOL2.

    I read that article many times and spent time trying to make sense of it.

    I think that as I'm working on latest version of MLO3 I think words are not always same BUT I have managed to get a list with my favourites.

    My stumbling block was this.

    I did 1st additions from1 group and couldn't see how to add other groups.

    By luck I clicked on 1 group showing and it turned into a drop down list of the others.

    QED.

    I did and it took me back to others do I could add to my favourites.

    So it's been a laborious process for me.

    I'm impressed by the hardware and quality of stream, I'm sure I'll be an avid fan of z11, as I was with z8.

    Next problem.

    I've recorded programs to external drive and can play them back with recordings, naturally.

    I tried to edit some of these on my computer BUT NONE of my recordings showed.

    On my Z8 no problem.

    Can you tell me what the problem may be?

    Old recording format was .ts.

    It's probably different now.

    You are right recording pathways for z8,z10 &z11 are all different,so not interchangeable.

    Good to hear that you are getting there,with your settings for favorites and groups,it just takes a lot of perseverance.

    But once you get there,after trial and error,you will have the full fruits of a very good box!:winking_face:

    I'm confused, why can't my computer see files created by Z11?

    It shows on MOL3 as I'd expect.

    MOL2 put these files in Recordings, but all that's here in that folder are old files from Z8, that's good.

    There are lots of new folders all empty.

    I found them under android folder, so no worries, I can edit recordings on external storage.

    Had me worried for a bit.

    I must try harder.
