  • I'd like to figure out what features I'm missing out on by not using MOL3. I' currentl using Tivimate/IPTVEditor. Since most providers are a single stream recording with MOL3 isn't an option. Besides, good providers have catchup.

    Similarly, PIP won't work.

Anyone here switch to MOL3 from Tivimate that can enlighten me?

    1) Timeshift (not catch-up). Ability to pause Live TV and rewind is huge in North America. We have so many sports to watch. Professional and College (Europeans don't watch college like USA) that 50% or more isn't on catch-up channels. Also, our local news channels. No catch-up.

    2) The remote on Formuler is superior to any other box.

    3) most people who visit my house and have regular cable/dish can turn my box on and use it because it so close to the standard applications. You put a standard streaming remote in their hands and the app you mentioned. They get flustered. Sure they'll get used to it after a bit. MOL2 or MOL3 with the Formuler remote they can pick it up and have no problem finding what they want.

    4) PIP works. Need multiple connections. Can only pip two shows at a time and not side by side. Also cannot pip two 4k streams. If you don't have multiple connections you have a provider problem.

What do you mean about recording? You can record one channel and watch another if you have multiple connections. It's true you cannot record more then one stream at a time though.

Other apps I've asked and they said this won't become available.
