I had a Z8 for many years and attached a external HDD for recordings. Now I bought the new Z12 ultra and wanted to attach that same HDD to it. But it doesn't connect. Under device preferences - storage - removable storage I see the HDD but it says safely ejected.

You have to go in DVR options and then choose for either internal storage or ext.storage to your hdd.

Maby you need an external usb hub with extra power?
that's because you have a hdd that maby needs more power?

Power adapter is powersocket in wall.
The usb cable in Z12. And usb from your hdd in that usb hub.
I use it with my raspberry pi 5, when i had problems with power and files lost due lack of power.

Did you formatted the HDD with NTFS again before connected with Z12?
