Z12 Ultra remote issue

    Strange problem with Z12 or the remote - installed one day ago. When using Power Off menu Z12 powers off. However will not power on. Powering off Z12 and selecting standby the receiver powers on. When the Z12 is on all other remote control functions work correctly. The only observation is that when Power off is selected and receiver is off when I press Power on the remote it flashes with an Orange light. I think the normal light colour is white. Any clues or a faulty remote?

    The white LED indicates that the remote is paired with Z12 Ultra with BT.

    Seeing the orange LED when the device is powered off is normal.


    Please make sure that the remote is pointed to the front side directly to the Z12 Ultra when you try to power it on.

    Just to clarify that when the Z12 is properly powered off (not standby) and I wish to turn it on using the power button on the remote the orange light will flash indicating it is sending a signal?

    Let me just expand the problem. The Z12 is in room 1 and uses a remote eye to control it. The TV eye communicates perfectly from the TV room , changes channels , view tv guide, switch to VOD and TV series press watch and play. It also exits MYTVONLINE and can use the power button to turn it off. Everything is perfect. When it has been turned off from the TV room it is not possible to switch it back on. The orange light flashes but the Z12 does not power on. The only way to power it back on is go to room 1 and press the power button. From that point everything is again pefect. I dont understand why it is only the power on feature that does not work.

    When the device is powered on and you see the white LED light, your device is connected via Bluetooth (BT). This is why it works across rooms.

    When it is powered off, the remote sends an IR signal to the Z12 Ultra to power it on. When the remote is in IR mode, seeing the orange LED is normal.

    If the device is too far from the remote, or is in a closed environment where the IR signal may be interrupted, it may not work.
