A Buddy of mine had a z Alpha... It was connected to his Bose lifestyle sound system via a USB adaptor .... and it all worked perfectly..
We switched to a Z12... just a power supply and box swop and now we have the following problem..
Switch on the TV and no sound from the z12 to the Bose...
Restart the Z12... Perfect...
Switch off TV.... Switch on again.... No sound from Z12.. restart z12... all ok..
I have even connected headphones to the USB adaptor and that loses sound too once the TV is switched off!
It sounds like an ARC problem but have switched that of and on and of etc etc...
Its connected to HDMI2 ón the Samsung... which is where I feel the problem lies.... but getting the telly off the wall to swop HDMI inputs would be one hell of a task as its a "kin massive TV! (However.. HDMI 3 is the ARC HDMI port)
So it looks like the TV is sending a signal to the Z12 to kill the Audio....
Configuration as follows..
Samsung TV Projector..
HDMI Switch... 4 inputs to 2 outputs (TV / Projector)
Lifestyle .... 4 RCA inputs..
DVD... HDMI to switch RCA to Lifestyle.. Always works.. Never fails!
Sky Box...... HDMI to switch.. RCA to lifestyle.... Always works.. Never fails...
Laptop... HDMI to switch and Headphone socket to RCA.... Never fails.....
Z12... HDMI to switch and Audio to Lifestyle via a usb adaptor...... Only gives sound after restarting the z12.....
Any advice..... ?
