Z8 with J-tech HDMI splitter, audio and picture issues

    I just got a z8 and I'm connecting it to a j tech HDMI splitter JTD4KAT0301SW that have used with my spectrum box, Chromecast and Amazon fire stick. When I watch the my TV online to app (updated to latest firmware) it enables the ARC audio option unlike jtech which causes the audio to not work. I have to press thr Arc button on my j tech remote to disable and the audio is then fine. Any idea what is triggering it to enable it ant option I could change so the signal doesn't enable it? second issue is when I move around with a menu the picture keeps blanking out. Once I play a video it's fine. If I connect the z8 directly to my TV it's fine. I tried replacing the HDMI cable between a z8 and it j tech. Any thoughts on why the jtech is blanking out? I only have these issues with a z8 and have not had them with any other device.

    Actually actually figured it out. It turns out the remote for the z8 it's also controlling my jtech HDMI splitter JTD4KAT0301SW. So I may hit the guide button on the z8 remote but the jtech is receiving the signal and turning the arc audio on

    Any ideas how to correct?

    This is bad if it happens, both devices get same ir signal and use it for different commands. Sometimes i would like the formuler RCU`s would not have so strong signal. Solution could be only to hide your splitter somehow not to get formuler signal or universal remote if you want to control both devices at same time.
