  • I have now purchased formuler z8. Previously using z7 and it worked flawlessly.

However, I'm now getting the 'Code 7'error on every portal I use when I try to connect via

'Portal'. Each time it gets to 10% and then I get the error code 7 just like many people here.

However, when connecting via M3u link, it connects fine!

Before it's suggested, I've have already tried the following :

    1) I have seperate providers and both get to 10% and fail using portal and MAC address. However, work fine when connecting via M3u.

    2) I have connected the z8 directly to my modem to rule out any router issues.

    3) I have connected via wired and wireless and get the same results.

    4) I have tethered to my phone and still get same results.

    5) I have tried points 2,3,4 with and without a VPN enabled. Same results.

    6) I have upgraded to the very latest firmware. Same results.

    7) I have checked and rechecked the MAC addresses with both suppliers and it is correct. I supplied the MAC addresses in Capitals. I have also tried lower case, same results.

Note - The providers were working fine via portal connectivity on the z7 box which had a different MAC.

The results from the above indicate there is a problem with the mytvonline 2 app or the z8 itself. As the z8 does connect using m3u, therefore I strongly suspect there is a software problem with portal MAC connectivity on the mytvonline 2 app.

    Formuler support - Please help.

  • Found the Problem!!

When opening up MyTvOnline 2 - There are 2 MAC addresses! In the bottom right hand corner, it should state your Internal IP 192.168.x.x for example. It also lists a MAC address next to the IP. However, this is the Network Interface Card MAC address and NOT the MAC address that you supply to your supplier!! This is the one I was using which is incorrect.

The MAC address that you supply to your supplier is in the top right Hand corner once you have opened MyTVOnline2 app and should start

ID: 00 1A xx xx xx xx

I guess I made the rookie mistake as providers ask for the MAC address.

Once I used the 'ID' one, connected straight away and working!

I hope this helps people making the same mistake that I was

  • Lol I did the same mistake here!! Now the supplier activate it on the correct Mac ID and it runs better then on the m3u link!!!
