Hi,
I have observed that there has already been some discussion around this, however I wish to present one more issue, and a solution.
If CEC is set to turn the box off with the tv, the box powers off together with the TV, even though a recording is in progress.
Why not program the box to toggle the CEC state in accordance with the recording state? If a recording is in progress, then "CEC off with TV", should be toggled to off automatically. When the recording has ended, the setting would be toggled back to whatever it was, before the recording took place, at which point the box should also power off, given that the TV hasn't been powered back on in the meantime. By recording, I am also referring to pause. If a channel is paused, the box shouldn't power off with the TV, but continue to record. Sustain pause after TV power off, should be paired with a user defined time out value, where 0, would power off the box together with the TV. If sustain pause after TV power off, was set to one hour, the box would continue to record for one hour after the tv was powered off, and then power off, unless of course, the TV has been turned back on.
The same should be done with "CEC power on TV". When a recording is scheduled, "CEC power on TV", would be automatically toggled to off. When the recording has ended "CEC power on TV"; would be toggled back to whatever it was set to, before the recording was scheduled.
