So I have been using the GTV for a few days now. Here are things why I’m considering sending it back. I’m comparing it with the other box in my info because it has the same hisilicon chip as the z8 pro.
1. Image Quality. I have it set up the same way as my Other Android Box but somehow the GTV look worse. For instance smoke in movies look bad. It looks like it’s 6bit. It has blocks in it, same goes for shades in faces. Could this be due to the amlogic chip not processing the image right?
Im Reading a lot about PQ settings but there are non on the GTV (yet) will there be a option to change settings to the Imprex engine? Does the GTV even have such engine? ( I tried all the (fixes) mentioned in the forum. 1080p 50hz, AFR on/off, nothing worked
2. The stutters. The Image just isn’t smooth. It hicks like every 5sec. The Image isn’t smooth. With my other box the motionflow of my Sony 4K tv works flawlessly but with the GTV it just isn’t smooth.
3. The WiFi connection. Yes I’m watching over wifi and I’m not having any issues doing so. My connection is stable but the GTV is on the slow side. The Andoid box and the GTV are at the same exact location and connected to the 5G network. The Other box gets 83mbyt/s. My phone gets 90, my iPad gets 94 and the GTV gets 34???. How can there be Such a difference? On all devices I get full bars in the Connection except the GTV it’s missing one. I can’t image a Software update could change this?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m really liking the box, it’s UI smoothness but the things mentioned above just don’t feel right.
My initial question is do you guys thing there errors are possible fixing with software updates or are there hardware limitations.
Im considering getting the z8 pro instead but thinking of the future the GTV would probably be the box to go with.
