Good morning wherever you are! I happened to be in my firewall, which has the ability to display a graph of current traffic, while watching a recording I made last night. The FW continued to show the live channel stream traffic (about 6 Mbps) even while watching the local recording. Perhaps I'm missing a setting? I'm on a limited data plan, so this is fairly important. I suppose I could use the file manager or and external player to prevent this, but if this is the expected behavior, perhaps this post should be moved to the MTVO2 request thread. Thanks for reading and any replies.

Can you check if the timeshift function is on or off in MOL2 settings? When you make timeshift off, live channel in the background should be off while watching recordings.

You are right. If timeshift is on, the live channel data will be continuously stored for the feature (FF/REW/Pause live TV) even while you are watching recordings. And, when you are back to the channel after some time, you can pause/FF/REW of the channel.
