Static IP DNS and VPN settings

    I use ExpressVPN with my Z8 Pro. The VPN uses its own DNS from what I read. So if I setup a static IP on my Z8 Pro and use for example 1.1.1.1 as the DNS will there be a conflict between ExpressVPN DNS and 1.1.1.1? Or should I leave it blank? I noticed if I leave it blank it uses Googles DNS. So I don't know what is best.

    I dont think you will see any conflict but youre not anonymous anymore. If setting up static-ip with your prefered DNS you will no longer be "private" behind the vpn connection also you will be visible for everyone who wants to track your behaviour on the web.

    DNS stores your ip and therfore traceable, VPN hides your existens and never stores your external ip.

    Run CMD in windows, ipconfig /all and you will see how it looks like when youre using VPN and the turn it off , run ipconfig /all again and you will see all your info 😉
